  • Raise awareness of the Business for Peace (B4P) initiative, as well as national priorities related to peace-building, through events/webinars
  • Collect and showcase good practices through national and global events

  • Global Compact Network Colombia organized the launch of the B4P platform with the intent of mobilizing local businesses to raise awareness and draw attention to corporate actions that promote peace-building in the workplace, the market and the community

Policy Dialogue

Aim to bring businesses and other stakeholders together to exchange best practices, identify new and emerging issues; promote multi-stakeholder trust and interaction; and support advocacy to policymakers. Read more about Policy Dialogue.

Policy Dialogue Activities

  • Organize multi-stakeholder dialogue related to advancing national peacebuilding priorities and/or policy agendas that are relevant to the private sector
  • Foster dialogue among businesses and other stakeholders to exchange views, best practices and challenges related to implementing the B4P agenda and explore partnership and collaboration opportunities among LN participants

Policy Dialogue Benefits

  • Identification of recommendations from business to policymakers on actions that could help increase the scale and impact of business engagement in peace-building
  • Greater private sector engagement in peace-building within the LN as a result of increased dialogue and exchange of best practices
  • Evidence of Local Network convening power on peacebuilding issues

Collective Action & Partnerships

Through partnerships, private and public actors can combine their resources, skills and expertise to enhance results and impact. With collective action multiple companies join forces to engage in identifying, developing and implementing innovative solutions to systematic challenges. Read more about Collective Action.

Collective Action Activities

  • Create/manage working groups on B4P-related matters in order to bring companies and other stakeholders together to catalyze activities that contribute to peace in priority sectors and issue areas in conflict-affected and high-risk areas
  • Facilitate the launch of business-led local collective action initiatives focusing on topics related to B4P that are material to companies and based on local priorities
