    I am pleased to confirm that Viva Fresh reaffirms its support of the Ten Principles of the United Nations
    Global Compact in the areas of Human Rights, Labour, Environment and Anti-Corruption.
    In this annual Communication on Progress, we describe our actions to continually improve the integration of the
    Global Compact and its principles into our business strategy, culture and daily operations. We also commit to sharing
    this information with our stakeholders using our primary channels of communication.

Human Rights

  • The Council for the Defence of Human Rights and Freedoms - CDHRF is active in Republic of Kosovo and prepare yearly report. Since now we didn't have any topic regarding violation of human rights, but since the company is growing fast, we have start creating the procedures referring to international standards.

Labour
  • Assessment, policy and goals

  • The new project with IFC is focus in this topic and we are aiming to prepare concrete documents and procedures by June 2021.

  • Our company is fulfilling all the law requirements to implement labour policies, labour risks and labour violations, but in additional we have establish the following opportunities of staff to report such topics if any of them happened in our company
    1. We have create a line of all employees to report all issues that are related with their job, including violations, risks and any unsupported policies from their manager
    2. We are upgrading our health and safety policies in cooperation with IFC experts
    3. We have negotiate very good conditions for health insurance, for all our employees
    4. We have create a policy for payment and job conditions based on position and not people. This reduce the possibility of discrimination on payment for comparable work
    5. All the terms and conditions of all the employees are in written form, in the contract
    6. Our company is part of Retail Network in Kosovo.
    7. Together with other companies and universities we are creating labour strategies of engagement.

Environment

  • Viva Fresh is one of leading company in Republic of Kosovo. In this term the company in 2021, start a new project for Environmental and Social components. We are planning to finalize this project by June 2022.

  • The implementation of the project will start in second half of 2021. In next COP update we will provide detailed information regarding the topic and also including the progress handled by Viva Fresh

Anti-Corruption

  • Viva Fresh currently is in the stage of harmonizing the company Anti Corruption procedures with international standards. From 2021 we have engaged the IFC experts to support us in this direction. The aim is to create long term Anti Corruption procedures in Viva Fresh.
