I am pleased to confirm that Compact AS reaffirms its support of the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact in the areas of Human Rights, Labour, Environment and Anti-Corruption.
In this annual Communication on Progress, we describe our actions to continually improve the integration of the Global Compact and its principles into our business strategy, culture and daily operations. We also commit to share this information with our stakeholders using our primary channels of communication.

- Human Rights
- Assessment, policy and goals

Compact will support the Universal Declaration of Human rights. We actively support these rights in all our projects and at all locations where we are present.

Compact activly support the Universal Declaration of Human rights through consultation with stakeholders and affected parties .
Compact AS actively work to make sure that our agreements require other parties to follow the Declaration of Human Rights.

The Declaration of Human rights is an important decision parameter in all the Company's activities, that being choosing suppliers, our company's daily activities and new projects. The Human rights are included in our CSR work which is reported to the Board of Directors.
- Labour

Compact AS support the UNGC principles on labour standards and follow local laws on labour rights. All employees are free to join trade unions of their choice. We respect the freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining.

All employees are free to join unions of their choice.
Compact AS do not accept any form of forced labour such as bonded labour, prison labour, slavery, human trafficking or retention of important personal documents of employees. We comply with all applicable local and national standards on working hours and overtime.
Compact AS do not accept employment of children. The minimum age of employment shall not be less than the age of completion of compulsory schooling and in any case not less than 15 years of age.
Compact AS do not engage in or support any form of discrimination in hiring and employment practices. Employment related decisions shall be based on relevant and objective criteria.The Company's work policy ensures our support to the national labour laws.
General health and safety is high on the agenda in the Company, with a dedicated person leading this work.
The Company uses a external company to assist in this work. A health and safty staus is reported to the Board of Directors.A yearly consultation between the management and all employees will be performed in the next COP period.

The Company has a diversified staff in terms of gender and age.
There has been no reported incident of violations of the Global Compact Labour principles

Compact AS support the UNGC principles on the Environment. We recognise that prevention rather than cure is a more cost-effective approach to avoid environmental damage.
Compact AS production is non-contaminate.
Compact AS uses hydro electric power in production process to the extent that this is available.Compact AS has enforced a waste policy enforced both for the management and production activities.

Compact AS strives to minimise the environmental impact of our activities through responsible management and the use of technologies with low environmental impact.
A policy for waste management is enforced to reduce waste materials (e.g. recycling)
The company is continuously working with reducing the consumption of resources and better energy efficiency (energy, fossil fuels, water, electricity, transport, paper, packaging, etc.)

The Company has in the period had no environmental incidents, and will continue it's high focus on the Global Compact environmental principles

Compact AS supports the UNGC principles on anti-corruption. We work strongly against corruption in all its forms, including extortion and bribery.
The Company's work on anti Corruption is enforced through the Guidelines for Ethics and CSR

The Company will deal with any incidents of corruption on a case to case basis. There have been no incidents of corruption in this COP period.
