Among highlights of the past year we:
began monitoring compliance with our code of conduct using the Full Audit Programme (FAP). FAP represents a major shift in how we audit our supply chain and will ensure more comprehensive audits and greater cooperation with suppliers. FAP audit results can be found in the CSR report.
was accepted as a participating company of the Fair Labor Association. The FLA, which is a multi-stakeholder coalition dedicated to protecting workers rights and improving working conditions, will conduct independent external monitoring visits at some of H&Ms suppliers factories in China.
launched our Cleaner Production programme in fabric mills in India and in China. This aims to reduce environmental impacts in the supply chain beyond direct suppliers by focusing on savings on energy, water and chemicals at dyeing mills.
