Description
  • Since 2002, Group ONET (Cleaning - Facilities management, security, Part Time) communicates about its involvement in Sustainable Development. One of the work axes gathers at the same time the improvement of the control of consumption and eco-design. This axis has a direct positive impact on the working methods of the cleaning operatives and thus on the quality of the service. The Department Trade especially through its company Prodim (distribution of cleaning supplies, products and equipments) provided the other Departments with a range of detergents subjected to an eco-label, microfibre towelettes, and more silent equipments. As for the detergents, among the whole products known as "green", the Group chose to require from its suppliers to submit themselves to the criteria of Eco-labels certification. Several products were referenced; they are left at the choice of the agencies that can thus offer them to their customers. The glycol ethers, harmful both for environment and for man, are outlaw of formulations, since 2002.

Since 2003, Prodim, proposes microfibres wipes, which help saving water and detergents. They are reusable ten times after washing and, they are often made from recycled materials. At the Cleaning - Facilities management Department, technicians often work in shifted schedule either the morning before 9 a.m., or the evening after 6 p.m. The use of a more silent material, in particular vacuum cleaners, allows the reduction of the sound harmful effects on the environment of both users and customers. This should permit in the long term, with the agreement of the customers to shift the schedules during the day, which would induce an increase of the full-time working stations and reduce the number of isolated workers. These environmental measures have a very positive impact on the working conditions of the employees.
