Description
  • OTIMA, a member of the GLOBAL COMPACT, operates by adhering to the principles of the Compact for lasting, responsible world development. This commitment has had an influence on our corporate plan for greater responsibility of the company and its staff.

The corporate plan, a fundamental part of OTIMA’s management strategy, was created 15 years ago with the agreement of all the staff. It is an expression of the values of assembly, the rules of behaviour and aims to give strategic vision in order to influence a future that is chosen rather than to be endured.

This guide, “Our project for our company” is the tool to stimulate the search for information, awakening the adaptability of men and women, organisations, the value of action, calling for dialogue, consultation, stimulating cohesion, giving rise to cooperation, and defining identity, giving a feeling of belonging to the work process.

It involves the commitment of all colleagues to its observance and, more particularly, involves the management in the application of specified rules for individual and collective communication.

These tools prepare the staff for the developments in the business environment and make possible evaluation, adaptation and training through exchanges.

With the aim of confirming the identity and membership of the business, and conscious that OTIMA is developing in the context of globalisation, a unifying project began 3 years ago. Directed at Third World humanitarian aid in partnership with an NGO, it was first of all delivered by the company before being included in an associative organisation created by the staff known as HUMALIA. This initiative has reinforced OTIMA in its “ethical” dimension both internally and externally. It has made sponsorship of a village in Mali possible by the implementation of a long-term policy and realization of reliable projects: health, nutrition, provision of schooling, training and the development of the local industry. The Corporate Plan, brought up to date by the integration of the GLOBAL COMPACT principles, was presented to the 160 staff of OTIMA in November 2004, and delivered individually by the management structure. As for the unifying project, it has brought together 63% of staff (a rise of 11% over a year).
