Description
  • Global Tanitim has taken several of the Global Compact principles and internalized them in an effort to meet and exceed international standards. The company communicates with its stakeholders on implementation of the Global Compact principles on its website (please see http://www.globaltanitim.com/eng/about/whychose.html amd http://www.globaltanitim.com/eng/about/principles.html).

These principles have been permanently engrained into our corporate culture through; posting the Global Compact initiative to our website, implementing internal policies of advocating social responsibility to our clients and by providing our employees with a ?beyond the standard? work environment. It is our pleasure to lead our industry and community with guidance from the Global Compact. Our company has and always will abide by the highest ethical standards. We are in the field of maintaining images and feel that acting ethically is the first necessary step.

In abiding by the human rights and labor principles, Global Tanitim does not discriminate in hiring based on religion, nationality or race and refuses to utilize under age workers. One of our most prominent attributes is our policy on allowing foreign students or new professionals to intern with the company. Our policy?s efforts are focused on helping educate young professionals from around the world, especially developing countries, about communications and ethical business standards. One of developing countries? largest obstacles is unethical business practice. So far, we have aided young professionals from Russia, Turkey, Cyprus, Great Britain, France and the United States.

    -------------

As a result of this policy, we have had several interns return to their original counties and businesses to spread the word. When the young professionals join us they are excited to realize how much of a difference they can make. This reality fuels their confidence and value as a professional upon return to their country or business of origin. By inviting and training young professionals and students to learn about global ethical standards we are hoping to raise the ethical bar, not only in their country, but across the globe. We feel that this policy will become a great benefit to the participating countries and hope that others will join in the process.

This is only one aspect of how implementing Global Compact?s principles internally has benefited our organization. Through the support of a recycling program, we have not only served the environment, but have also increased awareness of necessary environmental initiatives. Most importantly, we have seen great results with our employee satisfaction and loyalty due to above par international standards.
