  • Credit Suisse Group communicates with stakeholders on sustainability issues and implementation of the Global Compact Principles through its Sustainability Report and on a case by case basis through means such as speeches, involvement in working groups or through direct contact with particular stakeholder groups.

    The Sustainability Report provides information about aspects such as relations with clients and employees, as well as the company''s commitment to the environment. It gives an overview of relevant initiatives and priorities addressed in 2003. These include the re-certification of the internal environmental management system according to ISO 14001, the adoption of the Equator Principles and support for charitable projects. The Sustainability Report contains chapters on employees, clients and society as well as environmental management and sustainability-related products and services. Each chapter highlights the strengths, weaknesses and next steps in the relevant area.

    The Sustainability Report is part of Credit Suisse Group''s annual reporting and shows how the company is meeting challenges relating to the social environment in which it operates. Credit Suisse Group has been included in Sustainability Indexes such as the Dow Jones Sustainability Index and the FTSE4Good Index. To inform about planned next steps in our Sustainability Report assures continuous improvement in this field and enhances internal awareness. A broad audience (consisting of employees, clients, shareholders, NGOs and the general public) orders or downloads the report and thus is kept informed about broader aspects of Credit Suisse Group''s business activities.
