    I am pleased to confirm that SEIN NAN DAW DIAMONDS & FINE JEWELLERY reaffirms its support of the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact in the areas of Human Rights, Labour, Environment and Anti-Corruption.

    In this annual Communication on Progress, we describe our actions to continually improve the integration of the Global Compact and its principles into our business strategy, culture and daily operations. We also commit to share this information with our stakeholders using our primary channels of communication.

Human Rights

  • Sein Nan Daw support and respect the protection of internationally proclaimed human rights and we are not complicit in any human rights abuses.

  • Sein Nan Daw trains our employees monthly on human rights issues and the human resource policies are discussed with new employees coming into our companies.

  • There have been no incidents of human rights violations. To ensure this, the company has periodic review of results by our HR manager.

Labour

  • Sein Nan Daw upholds the freedom of association and the effective recognition of the rights to collective bargaining. Sein Nan Daw strongly believes in the elimination of all forms of forced and compulsory labor, the effective abolition of child labor and the elimination of discrimination in respect of employment and occupation.

    Sein Nan Daw clearly communicates with its employees in regard to written policies that clearly state their employee rights and responsibilities and their compensation and benefits.

Environment

  • Sein Nan Daw strongly supports a precautionary approach to environmental challenges and undertake initiatives to promote greater environmental responsibility and encourage the development and diffusion of environmentally friendly technologies.

  • Sein Nan Daw implements a monthly training of our employees on environmental protection. In order to reduce waste materials, we have created waste bins for recyclable products (especially paper). Sein Nan Daw also urges its stakeholders and business partners to be environmentally responsible and to adhere to environmental principles.
