Human Rights

  • Upwind will not tolerate human rights abuses and will not engage or be complicit in any activity that solicits or encourages human rights abuses.

  • By adopting a Conflict Minerals policy both internally and with suppliers UpWind is demonstrating that we will not tolerate or abide by human rights violations.

Labour

    UpWind will ensure through our extensive safety policies and procedures a safe working environment for all employees.

  • - CLIMB is a leadership training program which provides a complete training and development program from entry level to leadership positions. The program is based on the core values of Leadership, Teamwork, Innovation and Progress.

    - The Stop Work program ensures that each and every employee has the right to Stop Work if he/she or his/her team is unsafe or unprepared to safely perform the assigned tasks.

    - Zero Harm requires employees to commit to performing their job safely in a way that does not harm themselves, their team, or any resources.

    - You First is an active engagement, recognition and reward program designed with the understanding that our employees are the company's most important asset.

    - SafeStart is an advanced safety training awareness workshop that will be provided to all employees of UpWind Solutions.

  • UpWind tracks all safety compliance using the TRIR metric as well as other indices to ensure that all safety and quality occurrences are tracked and corrective action taken if needed. UpWind also uses an integrated management system to ensure that all policies and procedures are implemented and used across every business function.

Environment

  • As an alternative energy support company we actively strive to help our customers produce as much renewable/clean energy as possible by ensuring that their wind farms are working in their most efficient state

    UpWind actively supports community involvement for clean and safe green open space.

  • Implementation

  • - UpWind has worked with our customers to achieve over 99% availability of their wind assets for the production of clean energy using proven optimization techniques. This availability percentage increases the amount of clean, renewable energy produced to reduce the reliance on fossil fuels.

    - Partnering with various environmental groups in the local areas to help clean up and protect green space (I Love a Clean San Diego Project)

Anti-Corruption

  • UpWInd has adopted an Ethics Policy as well as a Anti-Bribery Policy which all companies must read and acknowledge compliance.

  • All employees have been asked to read the relevant policies and certify in writing that they understand and will comply. High impact employees within the company receive personalized training on the Anti-Bribery Policy to ensure understanding and compliance.
