    I am pleased to confirm that Tektos Limited reaffirms its support of the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact in the areas of Human Rights, Labour, Environment and Anti-Corruption.

    In this annual Communication on Progress, we describe our actions to continually improve the integration of the Global Compact and its principles into our business strategy, culture and daily operations. We also commit to share this information with our stakeholders using our primary channels of communication.

Human Rights

Labour

  • Tektos employees drive our business, and we have a responsibility to create a respectful and rewarding work environment for them. The health, well-being, satisfaction, and diversity of our employees differentiate Tektos and help us succeed.

    Our commitment to our people includes working with our employees, suppliers, and vendors to uphold the same high Citizenship standards to which we hold ourselves.

  • "a) We have a policy only to work on projects which we believe to be contributing to sustainable development. We see equity as an element of sustainable development. Being complicit, actively or passively, with human rights abuses would undermine this mission and our core business.

    b) We seek to avoid discrimination in our recruitment. All recruiters are made aware of our recruitment policy and interview questions are set so as to comply with it. Decisions are made on the basis of ability and nothing else. This extends to decisions about status within the company, salary, bonuses and promotions. "

Environment

  • Tektos is committed to material and technology innovations that help people and organizations around the world improve the environment. We see our role as twofold:

    a) Minimize the environmental impact of our business operations and products

    b) Create technology solutions that help individuals and businesses around the world address their environmental impact.

  • a) Tektos is the member of FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) since 2012, and keep promoting our client to use the FSC packaging. Through this scheme, environmentally appropriate forest management ensures that the harvest of timber and non-timber products maintains the forest's biodiversity, productivity, and ecological processes.

    b) We operate an ethical purchasing policy which includes a strong environmental element. In practice, the leadership of Tektos seek to promote a corporate culture which respects the environment. We are also committed to promoting respect for the environment in our work for clients, which often includes encouraging pro-environmental behavior through innovative communications.

  • The impact of our client work on the environment is hard to quantify, however:

    a) Tektos keep promoting our client to use the FSC packaging.

    b) Tektos has created our own web-based ERP system in order to achieve paperless communication and operation via customer, supplier and difference in-house department.

    c) Our office recycles, reuses and composts where possible and staff are conscious of energy and water use. We encourages the use of public transport.

Anti-Corruption

  • Our commitment to strong anti-corruption policies and practices is resolute. Tektos does not tolerate bribery or corruption of any kind within our own company or within our partner companies.
