    As the president of Jinyuan Farm, I am pleased to confirm that Jixi Jinyuan Farm reaffirms its support of the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact in the areas of human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption.

    In this annual communication on progress, we describe our actions to continually improve the integration of the Global Compact and it's principles into our business strategy, culture and daily operations. We also commit to share this information with our corporate managers, customers, employees using our company meetings and newsletters.

Human Rights
  • Assessment, policy and goals

  • We communicate our support of the Global Compact en principles through our company literature and the meetings with the suppliers and partners.

  • Implementation
  • Description of concrete actions to implement Human Rights policies, address Human Rights risks and respond to Human Rights violations.

  • On the semi- annual company meetings, the managers share with employees about how the Global Compact principles influence our business practices and employee relations.

  • We continue to improve our evaluations of the suppliers and customers on the adherence of the workers rights and customer rights through our purchasing management system.

Labour

  • Continual support of the education of the farming workers children is our main goal to plede our support in the community.

  • The company has set an educational fund to support the farm workers' children scholarship and farm workers hardship fund to extend the outreach of support to the families.

  • The company has the annual survey system in place to evaluate how the workers think about the company policy in the labor policies and labor supportive affairs.

Environment

  • Continuous goals on the water and biodiversity to ensure our organic farming practices adhere to the organic agricultural standards through using organic fertilizers, using the circulative resources, and adopting the biodiversity farming practices.

  • To reduce the farming wastes, we are trying to adopt the recyclable resources, for example, instead of burning the farming wastes, the farming residues are collected to make the reusable energy in the farming site or neighboring communities.

  • The environmental office of our company regularly conducts the quarterly inspection of the environmental practice performances through on site inspection, community surveys and visits. Ongoing efforts will be required in the coming year to nsure all parties involved understand the importance of the compliance and its effects on the substainable environment.

Anti-Corruption

  • Anti-corruption goals in the upcoming year-
    All purchasing managers are asked to sign the affidavit that they will not make their purchasing decisions on the monetary contributions by the suppliers related parties.

  • The company already has the report system in place to evaluate and monitor the related violations, if any.

  • During the past years, the company did not have any occurrence in the corruption areas. If any incidence is occurred, the employee will be given the written warning the first time, the second time will not be tolerated and will be removed from the position, depending upon the level of violations.
