Human Rights
  • Assessment, policy and goals

  • Human rights matter to Yewang Group because shareholders, investors, governments and civil society expect us to respect human rights. Therefore Yewang Group is increasingly held accountable on human rights performance on a daily basis of operations, such as policies, public commitments and business goals. On one hand, our businesses associated with human rights enhance financial, legal, reputational and stakeholder relevant performance. On the other hand, our group that get it right sustain its social license to operate, build up company brand and support communities’ well-being from the perspective of human rights.

  • Implementation

  • Yewang’s business activities are built on a fundamental respect for human rights. The Human Rights Principles at our group align with international standards, including the International Bill of Human Rights, the International Labour Organization (ILO) Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, the United Nations (UN) Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, as well as being based on the approach of the Children’s Rights and Business Principles developed by Chinese government. If there are any discrepancies between the internationally recognized standards and local laws and regulations, we adhere to the higher commitment. If any contradictions exist, we seek a way of respecting international standards while complying with local laws and regulations.
    Our Human Rights Principles stipulate key human rights issues, including to prohibit discrimination, prohibit forced and child labor, respect freedom of association and collective bargaining, and ensure decent wages and working hours, all in alignment with international standards. The principles also clearly state that we comply with laws and regulations regarding human trafficking, equal pay for equal work, immigrant labor, etc. In addition, the principles require not only Yewang Group but also our business partners including suppliers to respect human rights.

  • Yewang Group established the Human Rights Monitor and Probe Office Crew in 2018, comprising members from a broad range of departments including Corporate Responsibility, Human Resources, and Compliance, with the aim of strengthening and ensuring strict adherence to our human rights speculation as a company that operates responsibly. In line with our Human Rights Principles revised in 2022, we set up a new governance structure led by the executive officer in charge of legal and compliance matters who also oversees human rights issues from all layers of the company. We are using these systems to strengthen our company-wide human rights performance and promote transparent reporting.

Labour

  • Yewang Group committed its efforts on guarantee labour rights with solid practices and actions. We committed a clear of working condition, prohibit any form of against labour rights at company, including intermediary exploitation, damage or non-fulfill working contract. Meanwhile, Yewang Group also promises to work on payment issues including payment under holidays, a minimum wage level and extra pay for overtime. Industrial safety and health are also addressed by Yewang Group as top priority of the relevance of labour rights for the company.

  • Yewang Group focused on and enhanced Labour Department and Human Resource Department as one of the top priorities in order to implement labour protection policies. Our company promises a level of labour enforcement align with the Labour Force Act of China as well other international regulations for our labour forces. Furthermore, Yewang Group gives no tolerance for any form of labour violation practices by establishing its own labour issue court, which seeks to strike a balance between tensions and conflicts brought by anticipated needs of its workforce. Beside, Yewang Group also committed a guarantee of actively engaged with upgrading of its labour systems by implementing a series of effective measures that prevent any form of labour exploitation and force labour without overtime payment.

  • Yewang Group has adopted and supervises the application of international labor conventions in each of its business operating areas. Other important labour force standards deal with conditions of work, including occupational safety and health, wages and hours of work, are also regulated and monitored by the board members as well as middle managers in each of its departments. At Yewang Group, labour monitoring represents the Chinese government before the International Labor Organization and participate in international and regional fora that address workers' rights issues, such as the G-20, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, the Chinese Conference of Ministries of Labor, and Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation. As a result of this, Yewang Group takes care of its labour monitoring critically from the perspective of the well-being of its labour.

Environment

  • Our company highlighted here produce environmentally friendly products with processes and facilities that aim to leave the smallest possible environmental footprint. Yewang Group has long pursued making a commitment to comply with environmental laws and regulations by implementing a formalized environmental audit program to discover and self-report environmental violations. At Yewang Group, its business operation will be measured for the environmental impact of our facilities, materials, resource and energy use, emissions, and transportation and distribution. Our products or services address an environmental issue is also taken into consideration.

  • There are several concrete actions that Yewang Group had already implemented in order to reduce our eco-footprint which benefited the environmental protection issue. Each year, under the guidance of the board, Yewang Group will measure and analyze greenhouse gas emission from both company's product and service offer to the market as well as infrastructure and facilites involve in the processing section. Meanwhile, Yewang Group also dedicate to achieve a remarkable energy consumption reduction and seeks to renewable energy as new orientation in the coming future. Besides, Yewang Group chooses greener supplier in manufacturing process and also devote to raise the awareness among its employees, partners, clients and stakeholders.

  • Yewang Group established Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) as a tool used to identify the environmental, social and economic impacts of a project prior to decision-making. It aims to predict environmental impacts at an early stage in project planning and design, find ways and means to reduce adverse impacts, shape projects to suit the local environment and present the predictions and options to decision-makers. By using EIA both environmental and economic benefits can be achieved, such as reduced cost and time of project implementation and design, avoided treatment/clean-up costs and impacts of laws and regulations. Therefore, Yewang Group effectively monitors its environmental performance through its EIA operation.

Anti-Corruption

  • Corruption affects all areas of society as well as our company. Preventing corruption unlocks progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals, helps protect our organization, creates jobs, achieves gender equality, and secures wider access to essential services such as social welfare and business security. As a requirement of these, Yewang Group here committed to implement effective strategies for combat corruption practices and promote anti-corruption behaviours from the perspective of both the corporation and the society.

  • It is vital for Yewang Group to understand and keep up to date with the anti-bribery and anti-corruption legislation and regulatory environment in its jurisdictions, to ensure that how our company operate always falls within legal boundaries. By fully understanding these regulations, Yewang Group identifies and analyses the company’s existing policies and controls to mitigate its risk and establish countermeasures which seeks to deal with these issues. Meanwhile, an effective anti-corruption compliance programme is produced to provide the company with a reasonable assurance of compliance. Our company stresses that due diligence forms an integral part of any ABAC compliance programme, and should be conducted at all times not only on staff but also on business partners, agents, suppliers and service providers. Procedures that can be undertaken include: requesting and then fact-checking information, or conducting recurring background screening to identify any red flags, such as adverse media reports, political links, or appearances on sanctions and watch lists. More comprehensive procedures could include interviews with key parties and even forensic scrutiny of accounts.

  • Employees and representatives should seek clarification on any questions or concerns regarding activities under consideration or the interpretation of any law. At Yewang Group, it is requested a bribe from a person or entity doing business with or seeking to do business with the company, report it immediately to relevant business area’s compliance director/legal contact. Monitoring and regulation on anti-corruption value is certain no matter corruption practices allowed to accept it, refer to the gift & entertainment policy and standards applicable to its location, or check with any supervising leader or business area’s compliance director/legal contact. Violations can be reported anonymously by using the Emails or online reporting form (available on the homepage of Yewang Group website). Our reporting policy protects employees who report concerns in good faith.
