Environment
  • Assessment, policy and goals
  • Description of the relevance of environmental protection for the company (i.e. environmental risks and opportunities). Description of policies, public commitments and company goals on environmental protection.

  • We actively support principle 7, 8 and 9.
We are aware of the business we conduct affects the environment both locally and globally. That is why we work actively to measure, manage and learn more about our environmental impact. Measuring our climate impact has made it possible for us to take control of the carbon dioxide emissions we generate. We work actively to reduce the impact on the environment and ensure sustainable development in our operations. Of course, we always meet the minimum requirements in laws and regulations. We have identified four key areas that we focus on reducing environmental impact. They are:
    Use of spare parts
    Use of chemicals
    Energy consumption
    Waste disposal

  • Implementation
  • Description of concrete actions to implement environmental policies, address environmental risks and respond to environmental incidents.

  • In 2021, we started our measurement of Scope 1 and 2. The next step will be to train our staff in energy saving measures in the daily work.

We have asked suppliers for calculations of co2 emissions of spare parts but they have not yet being able to produce such calculations so we have temporarily excluded scope 3.

    Use of spare parts
To repair or replace a damaged part with a used one original part is always a more environmentally efficient solution and the solution we strive for in our workshops. This is also the case regarding windshields where one should always repair a stone chip before it has time to become a crack and the whole windshield needs to be replaced.

    Use of chemicals
By systematically rationalizing the number of suppliers of chemical products for our repair shops, we have reduced the use of chemical products and the chemical waste. More formalized purchases ensure that it does not exist a few duplicates of products in stock and thatturnover is high, so the goods do not get old.
We use for the most part only water-based paint this spring painting, which is a more environmentally friendly alternative than a solvent-based paint.

    Waste management
Werksta always meets the legal requirements that exist in terms of waste management. In terms of waste management, the waste generated in our workshops is handled sustainably.

In addition, we offer and encourage our customers to do a digital photo inspection which saves time and climate impact. Instead of going to a workshop for a damage inspection you easily take pictures with the mobile phone and send them to the workshop.

  • Measurement of outcomes
  • Description of how the company monitors and evaluates environmental performance.

  • In 2021, we started our measurement of Scope 1 and 2. The next step will be to train our staff in energy saving measures in the daily work. In Scope 1, we have included emissions from oil, transport, gas and LPG. Scope 2 includes emissions from purchased electricity and district heating. In Norway, all electricity is from renewable sources, of which 0 are emissions Scope 2. In Sweden and Finland, where electricity and heat are included rent, we have calculated the emissions by an average figure used for 2020.

A photo inspection saves an average of 4 kg of carbon dioxide, which becomes one annual savings of about 1800 kg of carbon dioxide yearly. Our goal is that over 30% of damage inspections should be digital.

Anti-Corruption
  • Assessment, policy and goals

This is to detect and prevent all kinds of irregularities. Through the whistle-blower function, employees and business partners report suspected violations. Information reported by the whistle-blower function is treated confidentially and ensure a safe and efficient handling of the case for the person who selected to use the whistle-blower function.
