    To our stakeholders:

    I am pleased to confirm that Brunch Oslo reaffirms its support of the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact in the areas of Human Rights, Labour, Environment and Anti-Corruption.

    In this annual Communication on Progress, we describe our actions to continually improve the integration of the Global Compact and its principles into our business strategy, culture and daily operations. We also commit to share this information with our stakeholders using our primary channels of communication.

Human Rights
  • Assessment, policy and goals
  • Description of the relevance of human rights for the company (i.e. human rights risk-assessment). Description of policies, public commitments and company goals on Human Rights.

  • Brunch Oslo respect and support the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

  • Implementation
  • Description of concrete actions to implement Human Rights policies, address Human Rights risks and respond to Human Rights violations.

  • - We ensure workers are provided safe, suitable and sanitary work facilities.
    - Protect workers from workplace harassment, including physical, verbal, sexual or psychological harassment,
    abuse or threats and we have established notification routines if anything happens.
    - Take measures to eliminate ingredients, designs, defects or side-effects that could harm or threaten human life
    and health during manufacturing, usage or disposal of products.

  • We have established ethical guidelines for the company and notification routines for any type of harassment.

Labour

  • - We ensure that the company does not participate in any form of forced or bonded labour.
    - We follow average wage standards using an annual industry report issued by "Kreativt Forum".
    - We ensure that employment-related decisions are based on relevant and objective criteria.
    - During covid we invested in a company cabin that any of our employees can use to escape the city and experience nature.

  • - We have individual conversation with each employee twice a year to discuss performance and needs.
    - We include everyone in annual strategic workshops for the company where we review our work environment and where everyone suggest ways to improve our everyday lives at the office.
    - Everyone in the company have defined personal learning goals for the year and reports progress to a partner every month.

Environment

  • Brunch Oslo is a certified "miljøfyrtårn" and reports our progress annually on our emissions, waste, electricity, sick leave and Health, Safety and Environment.

  • - We have cut meat from our lunch.
    - We have well-established routines for recycling.
    - We use electric taxies when we can't walk or cycle to meetings.
    - We avoid flying.
    - We have an annual "delete files" day.

  • We have had an external audit to become a certified "Miljøfyrtårn" company and we report our emissions annually.

Anti-Corruption

  • Brunch Oslo has a zero-tolerance for corruption. However we asses the risk of corruption and bribery in our industry/country to be low.

  • Description of concrete actions to implement anti-corruption policies, address anti-corruption risks and respond to incidents.

  • We have written guidelines to prevent corruption and bribery. We also have a company policy that any gifts given by external providers will be shared by everyone.
