Dear Stake holders
I am pleased to confirm that Airworks (K) Ltd reaffirms its support of the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact in the areas of Human Rights, Labour, Environment and Anti-Corruption.
In this annual Communication on Progress, we describe our actions to continually improve the integration of the Global Compact and its principles into our business strategy, culture and daily operations. We also commit to share this information with our stakeholders using our primary channels of communication.

- Human Rights

In our assessment this year, we realized that the culture in Airworks already supports human rights in many areas Airworks has been conducting staff training and awareness on how human rights, internal company policies as they relate to human rights
We conduct from time to time, Human rights impact assessments of business activities
Airworks management and the entire staff keeps monitoring the system to ensure that the company’s human rights policies are being implemented.
We have been very sensitive and vigilant for Human rights assessment of the situation in countries where the company does, or intends to do in future, business so as to identify the risk of involvement in human rights abuses and the company’s potential impact on the situation.
We are keen in maintaining and improving this area and we are already taking measures to reinforce our stand on Human Rights issues our next step is to implement suggestion boxes in different areas within the organization
We remain actively engaged through Open dialogue with human rights organizations or business partner.

In line with our endorsement of the UN Global Compact and its underlying principles. Our ability to promote and respect human rights standards depends on the nature of our relationship with the various stakeholders with which we engage: as an employer, we act in line with the principles underlying human rights; with suppliers, our level of influence is lower, but we can act to a certain extent through the contractual agreements we have with them; our level of influence is limited with our clients. Through our quality we conduct annual internal and external audits, and as a company we are frequently audited by our regulators and our clients

From June 2021 we started having monthly meetings in accordance with Sustainability Policy Manual created in November 2020 we conduct on going Progress on tracking and addressing complaints about human rights abuses as reflected by Sustainability Policy Manual our belief is that we have been performing and moving ahead successfully

We have strong Commitment to support the elimination of all forms of forced and compulsory labor, support the effective abolition of child labour elimination of discrimination using words from your policy or international standards
Airworks human resource department ensures that all employees, have employment contracts stating the terms and conditions of service, the voluntary nature of employment and the freedom to leave.
We have strong Commitment to support the effective abolition of child labour as per international standards. We have inbuilt policies, programmes and management systems that strives in implementing:
• Adherence to minimum age provisions of national labor laws and regulations and, where national law is insufficient, taking account of international standards
• Adequate and assurable mechanisms for age verification in recruitment procedures
• Development and implementation of mechanisms to detect child labor and provide remediation where abuse is found
• Ensuring that adult workers are given secure employment and decent wages and working conditions so that they do not need to send their children to work.

The company and all it employees are required to adhere to the human resource policies set
All Airworks employees are required to adopt the set company standards and procedures .the Company emphasizes on all employees to adhere to the rules cause the company is judged on how each individual carries themselves.
Team work is highly encouraged, safety is also a prime consideration in all company operations, and Airworks will maintain a proactive safety management program
Assigned team leaders should be given the utmost cooperation and assistance.

The company considers this a moral obligation even in the absence of any legal responsibility. This obligation extends to the physical and mental wellbeing of all our employees and clients.

Airworks recognize that a clean and safe natural working environment has to be consciously and proactively promoted through management systems which are designed to create safe workplace and environmental stewardship. Every staff of Airworks (K) LTD has a role to play in achieving higher standards of Occupational, health Safety and Environmental quality.
We have developed internal industry sector guidelines to support the consistent identification and assessment of environmental and social risks in all our operations.

The set guidelines covers Aviation industry sectors that has a high potential for environmental and social risk including chemical spills from use of from storage, oils, major fuel spills(Aircraft, fuel, tanks ,Etc.),dangerous goods spills and significant ramp contamination. The guidelines summarize industry standards for dealing with issues that may have adverse effects to the environment in the various sectors in the industry, The OHSE rules are simple and clear, and are available to all our staff through our Library.
We have a structured and systematic approach to taking environmental aspects into account, including setting requirements and targets as well as performing follow-ups.
We also have well labelled designated areas for different kinds of waste disposal.
Airworks and all it employees are required to adhere to the Occupational ,health Safety and Environmental policies as set in the Occupational, health , Safety and Environmental manual.
In support of our environment, we have included a set of policies that support this area in our internally accepted Sustainability Policy Manual. Example of these policies include switching off lights, ensuring water leakages are fixed promptly, use of rechargeable batteries, use of recycled products where possible among others.

Airworks safety and quality departments carry out frequent Environmental risk assessment which establishes the potential for unintended environmental damage alongside other risks, Environmental impact assessment that ensures that impacts of development projects are within acceptable levels and Strategic environmental assessment – ensures that impacts of policies and plans are taken into account and mitigated.
We do our utmost to choose modern, efficient and environmentally effective methods while making a sound assessment, balancing environment and economy.
