I am pleased to confirm that Lumberton Ltd reaffirms its support of the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact in the areas of Human Rights, Labour, Environment, and Anti-Corruption.
In this annual Communication on Progress, we describe our actions to continually improve the integration of the Global Compact and its principles into our business strategy, culture, and daily operations. We also commit to share this information with our stakeholders using our primary channels of communication.
We recognize that a key requirement for participation in the Global Compact is the annual submission of a Communication on Progress (COP) that describes how we integrate the ten principles of the United Nations Global Compact in our operations.

We strongly respect and adhere the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. We are all equally entitled to our human rights without discrimination. Our company are embedded in our numerous operating processes and control mechanisms above all of our departments and each level of the organizations by “Human Rights”. We ensure that our business practices are not complicit in any human right abuses throughout the entire organizations at all levels from senior management to entry level operations.

We operate in a transparent and open manner with our employees and stakeholders. Our policy on human rights is shared amongst all employees and monitored by the assigned team and management level to follow and act accordingly. Our corporate policy is to maintain a model workplace that is free from harassment and other forms of discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, age, disability, and sexual orientation.

We engage in a collaborative approach to decision making as it affects our employees and respects the right to information and participation. We pay a fair and living wage to our employees in line with National Laws at the end of every month and supports the right to work, right to an adequate standard of living.

Lumberton respects the freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining. We have a workplace handbook written in clear and concise language elucidating the responsibility of the employer and employees.

Lumberton Corporate policy requires our partners and suppliers to adhere to our labor policies when hiring staff and working with our employees. We do not practice torture, child labor, forced and compulsory labor within our organization or within the practices of any of our business partners and/or supplier.

- Environment

We recognize that our operations have a negative impact on the environment. We constantly work to minimize these effects. Business travels are our key environmental issue and we work constantly to reduce CO2 emissions among others through a strict travel policy, promoting where possible web and phone meetings before travels. To reduce the electricity we consume, we used the Spark Proof Lights and energy-saving LED Light in our company and switched to a renewable energy source.

We work systematically to strengthen business ethics, including Global Compact´s Principles 10. All employees are systematically trained in ethical business. Our ethical guidelines support and anticorruption policy support correct behavior if an employee should face an ethical dilemma. We follow up on the Lumberton Code of Conduct through management reviews and the Lumberton whistleblowing service.
