    To our stakeholders:

    I am pleased to confirm that Filip and Family (iELM) reaffirms its support of the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact in the areas of Human Rights, Labour, Environment and Anti-Corruption.

    In this annual Communication on Progress, we describe our actions to continually improve the integration of the Global Compact and its principles into our business strategy, culture and daily operations. We also commit to share this information with our stakeholders using our primary channels of communication.

Human Rights
  • Assessment, policy and goals
  • Description of the relevance of human rights for the company (i.e. human rights risk-assessment). Description of policies, public commitments and company goals on Human Rights.

  • - We ensure workers are provided safe, suitable and sanitary work facilities based on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and/or other international standards;
    - We protect workers from workplace harassment, including physical, verbal, sexual or psychological harassment, abuse or threats;
    - We take measures to eliminate ingredients, designs, defects or side-effects that could harm or threaten human life and health during manufacturing, usage or disposal of products;
    - We have a written company policy on respecting Human Rights and preventing potential abuses (i.e., internal code of conduct).

Labour

    - We make assessments of labour-related risks in the industry sector and country(ies) of operations

  • Implementation
  • Description of concrete actions taken by the company to implement labour policies, address labour risks and respond to labour violations.

  • - Awareness raising or training for employees on labour rights and policies (e.g., monthly and quarterly instructions on HSEQ standards)
    - The health and safety of all employees is ensured through the alignment to the HSEQ measures and standards (e.g., continuous training on safety at work topics, safety measures written on equipment, using safety equipment specific for each occupation, installation of fire extinguisher all over the factory, installation of firestop walls and doors, etc.)
    - Within the company, all workers are treated equally. The workers are paid based on comparable work and experience levels, in order to prevent discrimination of all kinds and to ensures comparable pay for comparable work.
    - The communication flow is always open for consultation with employees and other stakeholders
    - Allocation of responsibilities for the protection of labour rights within your organization
    - Human resource policies and procedures supporting the Labour principles

  • Measurement of outcomes

Environment

  • - We avoid environmental damage via regular maintenance of production processes and environmental protection system (air pollution control, waste, water treatment systems, etc.). We have assigned third parties that monitor and control the environment related procedures and processes. There is an open communication with the local authority to ensure the alignment to the rules and regulations in this area.
    - Ensure emergency procedures to prevent and address accidents affecting the environment and human health
    - Minimize the use and ensure safe handling and storage of chemical and other dangerous substances
    - Assessment of the environmental footprint and impact of the company
    - Written company policy on environmental issues, including prevention and management of environmental risks

  • Implementation
