Related to our mainly administrational business and paperless office goal we separate environmental topics in internal (office building, no production and warehouse spaces) and supplier productions.
For both there are specific written company policy on environmental issues, including prevention and management of environmental risks. For suppliers:
With regards to harmful substances in our products, we adhere and comply to the regulations of the European REACH standard (registration, evaluation, authorization and restriction of chemicals). Thus, PM Studio will not accept products that are contaminated with substances listed at:https://echa.europa.eu/de/candidate-list-table or exceed their limiting values.
Environmental standards are under development in Asia / China and not supported in some regions. Because factories need to make big effort before applying to ISO 14001, which it is not common in China.
Widely used in our industry is the SMETA certification. SMETA 4-Pillar includes Health & Safety, Business ethics, labour and environmental.
PM Studio commits to have 100% of our "regular" suppliers SMETA 4-Pillar certified until 2022 and will support suppliers during the implementation. Regular suppliers are defined as STD ASIA suppliers with more then 2 orders per year.
