    To our Stakeholders,

    As per the previous years and up to now, Al Ajmi Engineering Consultants has been very committed towards the UN’s Global Compact initiative and its constant support to embrace and act on the UN’s Global Compact “10 Principles” in the areas of Human Rights, Labour, Environment and Anti-Corruption.

    As promised during the previous COP, we expressed and established these actions and we consistently bind ourselves to explore new ways of achieving new goals and at all times share this information with all our stakeholders.

Human Rights
  • Assessment, policy and goals
  • Description of the relevance of human rights for the company (i.e. human rights risk-assessment). Description of policies, public commitments and company goals on Human Rights.

  • Al Ajmi Engineering Consultants "AEC" considers the United Nation's Declaration of Human Rights as a standard of accomplishment in its organization and accordingly such rights remain upheld in our company at all levels.

  • Implementation
  • Description of concrete actions to implement Human Rights policies, address Human Rights risks and respond to Human Rights violations.

  • We continue to implement the policies in AEC and commit ourselves in upholding the Human Rights arrangements as pronounced in the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights.

  • The ISO Certification received by AEC has its strict program of observation to guarantee that nobody in our organization violates any of the human rights strategies, hence, that enables any data or activity to undergo various levels of the organization for endorsement from its applicable senior. This helps in uncovering any violations at that level once done.

Labour

  • At AEC, we believe that equal rights for each individual is essential, and we are keen in giving their rights without prejudice regardless of one's background.

  • We manifest our sense of duty in giving legitimate labour rights, the policy regarding Labor rights remains in effect and upheld in our company.

  • The way our operations work while applying the ISO methods exposed any violation easily.

    Such violations of any rights and policies would be managed and dealt immediately following further investigation of the incident.

Environment

  • The Environmental Policy in AEC is greatly maintained in all our undertakings across all business units, from the company services down to the business operations.

  • Implementation

  • Besides the policies implemented, we continue to thrust all project stakeholders to transition to paperless strategy for operation purposes. Additionally, the product selections we make in Client projects all comply to the highest green building standards.

  • Description of how the company monitors and evaluates environmental performance.

  • Different levels in the company have different monitoring criteria. On the administration level, going paperless is the main goal and accordingly staff with high printing would be investigated for check relevance of printing and if going paperless could be achieved. If so they would be reminded of the companies paperless initiatives. We have set a printing quota and monitoring to control and check relevance of the printing in place.

    During project design phase, specification engineers and designers work together to achieve sustainability through use of materials that emit less VOC or are made from recycled material...etc. Additionally tenders are being distributed in soft copies.

    During construction supervision, mainly our engineers continuously try to monitor contractor performance and make sure no material wastage is made.

Anti-Corruption

  • Anti-corruption is one of the main concerns that we generally strive to control in our organization. The positive feedback and reputation we get in the market is the thing that separates us from our competition.

  • Implementation
  • Description of concrete actions to implement anti-corruption policies, address anti-corruption risks and respond to incidents.

  • The anti-corruption policies implemented by AEC regarding bribery, perjury and all other forms of corruption possible in our industry have been kept and upheld in all business dealings internally and externally.

  • Description of how the company monitors and evaluates anti-corruption performance.

  • Regular evaluations across all levels of the organization by arbitrary checking and in addition to having a yearly external review guarantees and secures every section of our activities follows the approach of commitment by clean history of dealings.
