    I am pleased to confirm that DTC World Corporation Pte Ltd reaffirms its support of the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact in the areas of Human Rights, Labour, Environment and Anti-Corruption.

    In this annual Communication on Progress, we describe our actions to continually improve the integration of the Global Compact and its principles into our business strategy, culture and daily operations. We also commit to share this information with our stakeholders using our primary channels of communication.

Human Rights
  • Assessment, policy and goals
  • Description of the relevance of human rights for the company (i.e. human rights risk-assessment). Description of policies, public commitments and company goals on Human Rights.

  • Human resource forms an integral part of our operations, including staff at our office and labour employed by our suppliers for the production of our goods.
    DTC World Corporation Pte Ltd respects the rights of all staff in our office, our stance as stated clearly in our Labor and Human Rights Policy (including the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact in the areas of Human Rights, Labour, Environment and Anti-Corruption).

    The company's Labor and Human Rights Policy is communicated to all staff at DTC World.

    Our suppliers are required to adhere to the Supplier Code of Conduct, whereby they are expected to uphold DTC World's policies concerning Human Rights and Labor Policies. All suppliers are expected to conduct their businesses in socially responsible manner. Suppliers have to acknowledge on the Supplier Code of Conduct and Supplier's Declaration forms, before commencing any business relationship with DTC World.

    We have a Sustainable Procurement Policy, which sets expectations for key business partners and suppliers to operate with Respect of Human Rights, Fair Business Practices, Environmental Standards and Product Quality.

  • All staff at DTC World Corporation Pte Ltd are aware of the company's Labor and Human Rights Policy. Sharing sessions of the policy and Ethical Trade Index (ETI) Base Code are documented.

    A whistle-blowing channel has been established for staff and the public to report on any violations.

    The top management is responsible of ensuring that the Labor and Human Rights Policy is enforced within the organisation and among our suppliers.

    Our company is Ecovadis certified - Silver award. This certification (in areas Environment, Labor Practice, Sustainable Procurement, Fair Business Practices) has to be conducted and renewed every year, whereby we are required to submit all our policies for verification. Thus, there are yearly reviews on our performance in Labor and Human Rights.

    There is a annual staff survey conducted to collect feedback from our staff.

    We have a disciplinary procedure in place, listing down the steps to be undertaken when any violation is reported. Investigations will be conducted first before any disciplinary action is taken.

Environment

  • Risk Assessment on Environmental Impacts is conducted on our company operations. Actions to mitigate the adverse environmental impacts is undertaken to ensure minimal adverse impact on the environment.

    DTC World has an Environment Policy, which lists down our framework for managing our direct and indirect environmental impacts. This policy is communicated to all staff at DTC World.

    In the Supplier Code of Conduct that our suppliers are required to adhere to, standards relating to the Environment is also listed in the Supplier Code of Conduct.

    We have a Sustainable Procurement Policy, which sets expectations for key business partners and suppliers to operate with Respect of Human Rights, Fair Business Practices, Environmental Standards and Product Quality.

  • All staff at DTC World have attended training session on the company's environmental policies. Tips on saving water, electricity, paper and recycling are also shared with the staff, with posters affixed on the company's notice boards as constant reminders.

    Initiatives & Activities undertaken:
    -Recycle Bins are available in the office, encouraging DTC staff to recycle items instead of throwing them away.
    -E-waste are disposed of at designated e-waste collection points in Singapore.
    -Delivery routes are planned in advance to maximize efficiency of fuel usage by our logistics personnel.

    -Recommendation of sustainable / recyclable products to our customers

Anti-Corruption

  • Risk Assessment on Anti-Corruption & Anti-Bribery have been conducted on our business processes. Actions to prevent corruption & bribery are undertaken to ensure that there is no occurrence of corruption & bribery within our business dealings.

    DTC World Corporation Pte Ltd has in-place a Business Ethics Policy, that states our "Zero tolerance" attitude towards bribery and corruption and requires all new employees to sign below the Code of Business Conduct to show that they have fully understand and are willing to commit to the Code. There is a Gift Declaration Form, whereby if any of our suppliers give any gifts to our DTC staff, the staff has to declare the gifts, and share it among all staff. All staff has been told that if they encounter any situation that violates our Business Ethnics Policy, they should always approach the in-charge for advice.

    Our suppliers are required to adhere to the Supplier Code of Conduct, whereby they are expected to uphold DTC's policies concerning Business Ethics. Suppliers have to acknowledge on the Supplier Code of Conduct and Supplier's Declaration forms, before commencing any business relationship with DTC World.

    Whistle-blowing procedure is available, for any staff or the public to report violations to the company management.
