I am pleased to confirm that 53Dots S.A.L reaffirms its support of the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact in the areas of Human Rights, Labor, Environment and Anti-Corruption.
In this annual Communication on Progress, we describe our actions to continually improve the integration of the Global Compact and its principles into our business strategy, culture and daily operations. We also commit to sharing this information with our stakeholders using our primary channels of communication.

- Human Rights

• Ensure workers are provided safe, well ventilated, suitable and sanitary work facilities
• Every employee shall be treated with respect and dignity. Protect workers from workplace harassment, including physical, verbal, sexual or psychological harassment, abuse or threats

• Take measures to eliminate materials, designs, defects or side-effects that could harm or threaten human life and health during manufacturing, usage or disposal of products

• The company has an Emergency plan for earthquake, external/internal fire, water failure/contamination, electrical and generator failure, and vehicle/general fuel shortage.
• Noise levels are investigated on a monthly basis by the company to prevent occupational hazards.
• Training on safety standards are done periodically by Red Cross and Fire Department.
• PPEs are used to decrease exposure to noise or any other hazards
• Contracted with external generators company to check that hydrocarbon (HC), carbon monoxide (CO), and NOx are within standard limits

• Avoid environmental damage via regular maintenance of production processes and environmental protection system (air pollution control, waste, water treatment systems, etc.)

• A water management system is put in place to decrease wastewater generation and water consumption by producing potable water and water for irrigation.
• Laboratory tests on water and CO2 emissions is done every 3 months.
• A heat exchanger is installed to heat water and while maintaining the facility temperature thus decreasing use of air conditioners and energy.
• Lamps used are fluorescent T5 and T8 used for their high output, high efficiency, and long average rated lamp life.
• The building is mostly made of glass to allow maximum light to enter the facility thus using less electricity.
• Automated energy system (electricity, ventilation, air conditioners…) are functioning according to employees schedules thus decreasing energy consumption.
• A building management system (BMS) is available in the company which is a computer-based control system for ventilation, lighting, power systems, fire systems, and security systems used to decrease energy consumption
