    I am pleased to confirm that FRONTLINE CONTRACTING reaffirms its support of the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact in the areas of Human Rights, Labour, Environment and Anti-Corruption.

With experience spanning over 100 man years, we have been at the forefront, innovating, winning and delighting clients. We enable efficiency, cost reduction, sustainability and technology in utilities, industry, transport and infrastructure across Southern Africa.

    In this annual Communication on Progress, we describe our actions to continually improve the integration of the Global Compact and its principles into our business strategy, culture and daily operations. We also commit to sharing this information with our stakeholders using our primary channels of communication.

Human Rights
  • Assessment, policy and goals

  • • Ensure workers are provided safe, suitable and sanitary work facilities
    • Protect workers from workplace harassment, including physical, verbal, sexual or psychological harassment, abuse or threats
    • Take measures to eliminate ingredients, designs, defects or side-effects that could harm or threaten human life and health during manufacturing, usage or disposal of products

  • • No employee has ever come forward to us to express concern about harassment, forced labour, unsafe work practices and accidents. When this happens there is a clear policy known by all our staff and community to address them.

Labour

  • Our staff are free to belong to labour unions and affirm labour rights. We allow them to participate and train in labour related issues so that they stay ahead.
    We implement, train and hold meetings on safety, wellness and health.
    • Our solutions are innovative and leverage on technology to improve productivity. We also encourage our people to be creative in everything they do and offer them flexible working arrangements.

  • • We have not had any fatal accidents at our workplace ever since inception. All our staff and communities are encouraged to aim for zero harm to people and the environment. Chronic and lifestyle diseases are discussed openly without stigmatization and counselling offered to support the infected and affected.

Environment

    • Minimize the use and ensure safe handling and storage of chemical and other dangerous substances

  • • We invest in affordable, reliable and modern energy services. We assist our clients to improve energy efficiency in their buildings and infrastructure.

  • • No stakeholder has ever come forward to us to express concern about our environmental recklessness. When this happens there is a clear policy known by all our staff and community to address them.

Anti-Corruption

  • We encourage our staff and partners to be innovative and capable such that the lure for corruption is minimum. Further, our people are trained on the impact of corruption to society in order to share with their communities so that we cure the cancer from grassroots levels. We also have a zero tolerance should our stakeholders be involved in corrupt practices.
