    I am pleased to confirm that BONWS SEGUROS Reafirms its support of ten principles of the United Nations Global Compact in the areas of Human Rights,Labour,Environmemnt and Anti-Corruption.

    In this Annual Communication on Progress, we describe our actions to continually improve the integration of the Global Compact and its principles into our business strategy,culture and daily operations,we also commit to share this information with our stakeholders using our primary channels of communicartion

Human Rights
  • Assessment, policy and goals
  • Description of the relevance of human rights for the company (i.e. human rights risk-assessment). Description of policies, public commitments and company goals on Human Rights.

  • We at BONWS SEGUROS,S.A. value our dearest coleagues and other stakeholders.
    We preserve and respect the rights of all our colaborators, employees and all beings in general as we all have the basic human rights that can not be removed from us.
    Our policy:
    We do not descrimate our employees based on their gender,race or nationality
    We do not cause personal prejudice
    We do not violate our employees and customers´s freedom
    We do not contract neither associate our daily activties with child labourers

    As part our our campaign on gender equality , we will be hosting the Congress of Angolan Women to disuss the importance of equality at work as well as the role that women play in modern society

    BONWS Seguros´s Human resources philosophies incorporates the six principles of human rights, of which is the philosophy behind the Human resources rules and regulation.

Labour

  • BONWS Seguros,S.A as a recently established company,whose workforce is predominantly young ,energetic and vibrant Angolans with the technical know-how , aspires to motivate and invest in local expertise so that they can contribute to the socio-economic development of the country.
    We train, sponsor and groom our most valuable assets, our employees so that they can be self-sustained.Furthermore we continuously integrate our employees in seminars, workshops and other kinds of skills- building programmes.
    We are a non-racial as well as child labour-free organization., whose purpose is to add societal values through creation of work opportunities thus elimination poverty.

  • Our Human Resources Department conducts workshops and seminars to address the importance of communication within BONWS Seguros.We encourage all our employees and stakeholders to express their views and to become active members our organisation.
    In addition, BONWS seguros assesses and promotes good inter personal relationship amongst its employees so that it can eventually encourage freedom of speech, freedom of association as well as freedom to partake in decison making within BONWS Seguros.

    BONWS ´s policies are aligned with the tripple bottom line principles whose focus is on:

    Social issues
    Environmental issues

    We strive to maintain our surroundings clean and free from pollution and other hazardous elements that may jeopardize not just the health of our employees but the plants and trees as well.

    Our operations/ service rendering is user-friendly and does not have any negative impact on the environment.
    We have strict rules and regulations regarding the water and energy usage.
    Our operations do not emit any sort of polution.

  • BONWS Seguros´s policy on environmental impact ensures that:
    We care for our envirnment by not damaging the trees and fauna, We create awareness seminars to address the importance of saving water and electricity as well as saving papers.
    We do plan to create a campaign to incentivise the importance of planting more trees in the communities. in order to ensure environmental sustainability and survival of all that relies on the environment, namely, human beings.

Anti-Corruption

  • BONWS Seguros´s code of conduct, addresses the importance of transparency and adherance to the laws and regulations prescribed the the government.
    We have a compliance and internal audit office whose main function is to ensure that BONWS seguros is a 100% compliant institution, Our compliance department is responsible for the identification, evaluation and reporting of issues concerning:
    Money laundering
    Financial irregularities
    Bribery Sexual Harrassment
    Financing and transfer of money to undisclosed beneficiaries
    Tax evasion.

    We have created an email address ( denuncia@bonws.co.ao) where our employees can anonymously report to us any illicit activity and we take the necessary measures accordingly.
    No employee shall be intimidated or suffer retaliation for reporting to the compliance department, By reporting and ensuring transparancy at BONWS. We continuosly portray resilience and adherance to the ethical principles of the company.

  • BONWS Seguros´s Compliance department actively monitors its process, systems and procedures executed throughout its daily operations with the aim of ensuring transparancy, compliance and adherance with the laws

    Our Compliance department gathers periodically to audit BONWS Seguros´s daily operations, We conduct inhouse workshops to address compliance- related topics Furthermore, we partake in discussions and forums that encourages us to continuously assess and report suspicious activities to responsible bodies namely:
    Financial information centre
    Insurance regulatory body
    BONWS Seguros Instructs its employees to Conduct its business with the highest level of ethical standards, thus ensuring fairness and transparancy

    Our compliance department inspects all departments´s reports and recommendations and presents guidelines on how to ensure maximum efficiency.In addition to that, we have external auditors who inspects our process, systems and procedures to ensure that we do have a corruption -free as well as a compliant organization.
