  • To Our Stakeholders,
    Twelve months ago Poly Products Co. Pty Ltd made a commitment to support the ten principles of the United Nations Global Compact and today we re-affirm that ongoing commitment.

    Over this period we have assessed our current policies on Human Rights, Labour and Environmental Sustainability and will report our status to the Global Compact. As a result of this assessment we have identified a number of areas were our performance can be improved and actions are in place to improve our current position.

    It is our intention to continually improve our performance with regards to the ten principles of the Global Compact and to build a culture that supports these ideals. We undertake to continue to monitor our performance and implement supportive change as required.

    We also under take to convey our commitment to our stakeholders as a matter of course.

Human Rights
  • Assessment, policy and goals
  • Description of the relevance of human rights for the company (i.e. human rights risk-assessment). Description of policies, public commitments and company goals on Human Rights.

  • Poly Products believes in humans rights for all and has a number of active policies that support this position. We support the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

  • Implementation
  • Description of concrete actions to implement Human Rights policies, address Human Rights risks and respond to Human Rights violations.

  • Poly Products has a number of active policies imbeded in its Company Manual and OHS&W documents that relate to human rights including Equal Opportunity, Workplace Bullying and Sexual Harassment. These documents outline codes of conduct and expectations. Awareness training is scheduled to take place in the near furture in employee Tool Box Meetings. We also have a suggestion box.

  • Our Company Manual and OHS&W documents outline reporting machanisms required by each level of the managment chain. Weekly management meetings monitor WH&S issues.

Labour
  • Assessment, policy and goals
  • Description of the relevance of labour rights for the company (i.e. labour rights-related risks and opportunities). Description of written policies, public commitments and company goals on labour rights.

  • Poly Products supports a fare and safe working environment. Our policies support the right to freedom of association and support collective bargaining. We require our employees to conduct themselves in an ethical way and abide by local laws at all times.

  • Implementation
  • Description of concrete actions taken by the company to implement labour policies, address labour risks and respond to labour violations.

  • All Poly Products employees and required to read the Company Manual and OHS&W documents at the time of their employment. These documents outline the right to freedom of association and support collective bargaining and the requirement for employees to conduct themselves in an ethical way.

  • Routine Risk assessment reviews are conducted. Issues are reported and monitored at weekly management meetings. We conduct annual performance review meetings to review staff development requirements. Poly Products has not been involved in any investigations or legal cases relavent to this area.

Environment

  • Poly Products operates under the outline of an Enviromental policy. This policy calls for the operation of an environmental system that minimises the environmental impact of it's operations, products and services.

  • Implementation
  • Description of concrete actions to implement environmental policies, address environmental risks and respond to environmental incidents.

  • The company operates under a Enviromental Management & Sustainability Policy. We are signatories to the Austrlian Packaging Covenant, comply with local EPA regulations and report to the National Pollution Inventory.

    The companty recycles solvents on site and is an active recyler of waste products including plastics and cardboard.

  • The company is routinely audited to EPA standards and reports to the Australian Packaging Covenant. Waste and Recycling figures are monitored routinely.

Anti-Corruption

  • Poly Products supports the UN Convention Against Corruption.

  • Implementation

  • Our Company Manual specifies the ethical conduct required by personnel and dictates gift policies.

  • Measurement of outcomes

  • Our accounting practises are reviewed annually by an independant external financial autitor.
