  • On Behalf of Oceanic Group, i am pleased to reconfirm our company's commitment to the UN Global Compact. We became a signatory as we believe that the UN Global Compact's ten principles reflect our philosophy and standards.

    We will continue to look to the ten principles. We remain our full commitment the global compact and will continue to balance economic interests with those of the environment and communities.

Human Rights
  • Assessment, policy and goals
  • Description of the relevance of human rights for the company (i.e. human rights risk-assessment). Description of policies, public commitments and company goals on Human Rights.

  • Each of the employees are aware of their own human rights and respect the rights of others.

    We believe in communication for a positive work environment. We strongly encourage employees to bring forward their suggestions and ideas to the management. The company will listen and consider the suggestions for implementation. Employees receive a fair compensation and benefit program and have a flexible workplace.

    Investment in the social level starts with our employees, hence the company strongly encourages the employees to support efforts and start programs that will help to improve the communities.

  • Dedicated committee made up of various department staff from various office to help raise awareness among the offices on issues dealing with human rights, labour , environment and anti-corruption

Labour

  • Oceanic Group does not tolerate forced or involuntary labour of any form. Including work on forced contract or other forms of work against one's will or choice.

    Oceanic Does not support child labour and do not use children as part of our workforce

    Oceanic employs individuals of different ages, genders, ethnicity, physical and mental abilities. Oceanic value the unique background of each of the employee and we do not tolerate any form of discrimination against any applicant or employee

    Oceanic Group respects each of our employee's rights.

    Oceanic Group offers training to employees so as to identify and develop all employees strengths

    Oceanic protect the confidentiality of all the personal information in the employee's record and will never reveal the information to other sources externally unless the company is required to do so in a legal way.

    All Oceanic employee are welcomed to notified their suggestions to the HR department or management or to the dedicated committee members

    Oceanic strongly encourages all employees to bring forward their suggestions, ideas and concerns. Oceanic aims to listen to every suggestions and act on the suggested ideas.

Environment

  • Oceanic is fully committed to protecting the environment and its resources. We are constantly on the lookout for ways to use resources more efficiently and to reduce the environmental burden of waste generation and emissions into the air, water and land.

    Oceanic is committed to a healthy and sustainable environment, by establishing policies that outline how Oceanic conduct business in a safe and environmentally sound way.

    Oceanic conduct operations that is committed to recycling, conserving resources and prevention of pollution

    Oceanic will inform and work with suppliers and business partners with the same environmental principles.

    Oceanic conduct regular internal training and will inform all new employees of the company about the company policy so as to strive towards a better working environment

    Oceanic Group a ship management company, also aims to reduce emissions through improvements in vessel fuel consumption and working with maritime organization for ways to achieve fuel efficiency and reduction in emission.

    Oceanic employee can not hold any sort of interest or to be involved in any activity or business that might constitute a conflict of interest with the company

    Fees, commissions or any form of payment intended to induce or reward favourable decisions are not accepted and prohibited
