    I am pleased to confirm that EFIRENOVA reaffirms its support of the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact in the areas of Human Rights, Labour, Environment and Anti-Corruption.

    In this annual Communication on Progress, we describe our actions to continually improve the integration of the Global Compact and its principles into our business strategy, culture and daily operations. We also commit to share this information with our stakeholders using our primary channels of communication.

Human Rights
  • Assessment, policy and goals
  • Description of the relevance of human rights for the company (i.e. human rights risk-assessment). Description of policies, public commitments and company goals on Human Rights.

  • EFIRENOVA has implemented a Risk Prevention and Assesment Protocol for all its new employees. We comply with every labour legal measure. We have implemented a proactive policy regarding our employees's labour risks. Every year our employees are invited to have a medical examination to prevent possible health issues.

  • EFIRENOVA acknowledges a non-discriminatory recruitment policy free of prejudices regarding sex, religion, race or political believe.

  • We annually report information of management and employees by gender and we a follow a non-discrimination recruitment policy regarding age, sex orientation, genere or any other differentiation that confronts Human Rights.

Labour

  • Health and Safety of our employees is prevented by training of potential risks and showing them through written notifications how to avoid safety risks and how to proceed in the event of an accident.

  • Labour policies according to Spanish current laws and regulations have been undertaken. Possible labour risks are notified and addressed.

  • EFIRENOVA monitors annually its emloyees performance.

    We have implemented an equalitarian remuneration policy regardless of employee genere.

    We are in process of auditing the Company's financial statements. Within the scope of this audit, a report addressing several issues related to Human Rights will be included.

Environment

  • Energy efficiency is EFIRENOVA's core business. Achieving energy savings to our costumers is our goal. Therefore, we apply a proactive environmental policy in both indoors and outdoors. Due to our core business, our employees are well aware of the importance of energy savings since it is in our Organization's blood.

  • Implementation
  • Description of concrete actions to implement environmental policies, address environmental risks and respond to environmental incidents.

  • Low consumption lamps are installed in our Headquarters in order to reduce electrical consumption so our Carbon Dioxide footprint is reduced to the minimum.

    A waste recycling system has been installed in our offices so environmental impact is reduced to the minimum.

    There is a policy to encourage our employees to use e-mails and digital info. so the use of paper copies is reduced to the minimum.

  • Environmental performance of our Energy Facilities is monthly evaluated. Energy consumption, Facilities' performance and Carbon Dioxide footprint data is gathered and a comprehensive monthly report is sent and discussed with our clients.

Anti-Corruption

  • We have a policy applied to all our projects based on gathering three different bids form three different contractors in order to select the most convenient for our client's interests.

  • Employees are well aware that extorsion and corruption practices are strictly forbidden.

  • There is a zero-tolerance policy towards bribery. Employees applying this will be liable to be fired and legally prosecuted.
