    Dear corporate staff:

    I am pleased to confirm that Jixi Jinyuan Farm reaffirms its support of the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact in the areas of Human Rights, Labour, Environment and Anti-Corruption.

    In this annual Communication on Progress, we describe our actions to continually improve the integration of the Global Compact and its principles into our business strategy, culture and daily operations. We also commit to share this information with our staff and business partners and customers using our primary channels of communication.

Human Rights
  • Assessment, policy and goals
  • Description of the relevance of human rights for the company (i.e. human rights risk-assessment). Description of policies, public commitments and company goals on Human Rights.

  • We are on continuous efforts to do business with the companies that support the human rights and share the same values. To make the business community better for the general society, we support the values that everyone has the right to express his/her opinion, and should be open to different ideas and values.

  • The company has an employee suggestion box and the client service office that targets for the human rights. By doing this, our employees and clients know what to do if they feel there is wrong with the huamn rights during the course of the business.

  • The company has not yet received too many human rights violations. Only in a few incidents, we had the human resources involved and had the education meeting on the related persons. In some incidents, the persons involved were not aware that their actions had actually violated the rules, they did not violate the rules on purpose, in that case, the human resources office would communicate with them about the policy.

Labour

  • The company has set up the policy that no child labour shall be allowed in the company, no discrimination on the employee marriage status. We are very willing to provide the opportunities for the people with disabilities as long as their abilities can handle the job responsibilities.

  • The human resources have been provided with the general rules about the labor hiring. The work environment has been evaluated on regular basis to ensure that the safety guidelines of the machine/equipment operation are distributed to all onsite workers annually, and be posted onsite.

  • To improve and ensure the labor rules implementation, the president had the semi-annual meeting with the human resources and all departments to discuss any violations, if such violations occur, the reports of the violation and how they were solved were required to be submitted to the senior management for review and future guidance would be given too.

Environment

  • As an organic farming company, we strive not to use any chemical fertilizers that are harmful to the environment. Our agricultural products have been certified by domestic and international organic farming certification agencies.

  • We have the ongoing research on teh organic farming, and the employees are trained to apply the advanced farming technology to the farmland. Our organic products are making teh customers and the community aware that environmentally sustainable farming is not only good for the environment but also the most healthy food for human beings.

Anti-Corruption

  • As a small enterprise, we focus our efforts on what we are doing best. In the organic farming business, we acquired the certification by the open evaluation of the third party international certification agencies. The possible corruption in this area is impossible.
