    I am pleased to confirm that ‘Southeast’ reaffirms its support of the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact in the areas of Human Rights, Labor, Environment and Anti-Corruption.
    In this annual Communication on Progress, we describe our actions to continually improve the integration of the Global Compact and its principles into our business strategy, culture and daily operations. We also commit to share this information with our stakeholders using our primary channels of communication.

Human Rights
  • Assessment, policy and goals
  • Description of the relevance of human rights for the company (i.e. human rights risk-assessment). Description of policies, public commitments and company goals on Human Rights.

  • Southeast fully respects, supports and has implemented the principles underlying universal human rights, including the right to equal opportunity and non-discrimination, the right to the security of persons, the right of employees (including opposition to any forms of compulsory of child labor, the right to a safe and healthy working place, the right to freedom of association and collective bargaining), respect for national sovereignty and obligations with regard to consumer protection and environmental protection.

  • Implementation
  • Description of concrete actions to implement Human Rights policies, address Human Rights risks and respond to Human Rights violations.

  • All the employees have a possibility to raise an objection or make a complaint about incidents of human rights violations towards any of their colleagues. Respecting special, delicate cases or non-specifies requests the company placed a complaint cum suggestion register at the gate which is approachable to everyone.

    Southeast, guarantees a culture of openness, honesty and transparency. Staff is encouraged to discuss issues encountered in the work place so as to find adequate solutions and prevent similar situations from happening in the future.

  • The Company has not encountered major incidents of Human Rights violation, due to senior management frequently reassessing the Company’s policies and ensuring that its employees and stakeholders are treated fairly and equally.

Labour

  • Southeast, recognizes the importance to provide an organizational culture based on respect and trust.
    As a result, the Company benefits in terms of productivity and growth.

    Labour Policy has been drafted and Southeast is committed for its compliance.

  • Labour Policy is prepared it states that Southeast is committed to comply the various rules and regulations applicable by law of land.

  • Human Resources and senior management work in hand to ensure that all employees are given access to the same resources and treated equally in the work place. Southeast is proud to encourage freedom of speech and diversity in the work place, having employees from different nationality, religious and educational backgrounds.

Environment

  • Southeast ensures sustainability in the management of all its activities and is committed to minimize its impact on the environment. Further to strengthen the systems company has acquired ISO : 14001 certificate.

  • Company has acquired ISO:14001 environment management systems and regular training provided to employees on environmental protection.

  • Measurement of outcomes

  • Regular internal audits conducted for ensuring that environment management systems are in place and objectives are meeting their targets.

Anti-Corruption
  • Assessment, policy and goals
  • Description of the relevance of anti-corruption for the company (i.e. anti-corruption risk-assessment). Description of policies, public commitments and company goals on anti-corruption.

  • In order to avoid such violations, the Company holds a strict zero-tolerance policy for corruption and bribery and an Ethics policy has been formulated and conveyed to employees.

  • Ethics Policy has been formulated and actions being monitored by management.

    Suggestion box has been placed in shop floor to get the feedback.

  • As a result of the Company’s policy, all employees are made aware of consequences related to corruption and bribery violations. Senior management ensures that junior and mid level employees are not put in situations where they can prove guilty or victim of such violations.
