    To our stakeholders,

    I'm pleased to confirm the strong effort of OTS Automazione in support the 10 principles of UNGC.
    We daily apply ourselves to make these principles integral part of our business.

    Here following we're going to described the actions undertaken to get this target.

Human Rights
  • Assessment, policy and goals
  • Description of the relevance of human rights for the company (i.e. human rights risk-assessment). Description of policies, public commitments and company goals on Human Rights.

  • OTS Automazione pays always attention to respect human rights.
    No distinction of race, colour, sex, language, religion or of any kind is applied.
    Each article of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights is properly followed and endorsed.

  • Implementation
  • Description of concrete actions to implement Human Rights policies, address Human Rights risks and respond to Human Rights violations.

  • The small structure of OTS permits a continuous and bi-directional communication between the workers and the management.
    This very direct communication, in an almost family driven company, is considered the best and most functional way to operate in full respect of human rights.

  • Measurement of outcomes
  • Description of how the company monitors and evaluates performance.

  • The direct and open relationship between workers and management permits to have a quick and real feedback about the outcomes of this kind of policy.

Labour
  • Assessment, policy and goals
  • Description of the relevance of labour rights for the company (i.e. labour rights-related risks and opportunities). Description of written policies, public commitments and company goals on labour rights.

  • All employed workers have chosen personally and freely to work in the company.
    Underage workers are not, directly or indirectly, used and never won't be.
    Each worker has a proper salary, in respect of law and his own capacity.
    Working hours are as per law establishment.
    Finally workers are free to associate and to find a proper representative for a reciprocally functional communication with all members of the company.

  • Implementation
  • Description of concrete actions taken by the company to implement labour policies, address labour risks and respond to labour violations.

  • As written before, the small structure of OTS permits a continuous and bi-directional communication between the workers and the management.
    All workers are invited to express their doutbs, needs and requirements.

  • Measurement of outcomes
  • Description of how the company monitors and evaluates performance.

  • As per respect of human rights, the organization of the company permits to have a quick and direct response about the success of the policy applied.
    Moreover customers' impressions and considerations about OTS "environment" are considered very functional instruments.

Environment
  • Assessment, policy and goals
  • Description of the relevance of environmental protection for the company (i.e. environmental risks and opportunities). Description of policies, public commitments and company goals on environmental protection.

  • Environmental respect and preservation are considered key-factors in the activity of OTS Automazione.
    The company is always focused in reduction of the impact of its business on environment.
    Its attention is direct and indirect, by choosing partners, supplier or customers, which consider respect of environment an important aspect of their own business.

  • Implementation
  • Description of concrete actions to implement environmental policies, address environmental risks and respond to environmental incidents.

  • Implementation of the above policy is summarized in following:
    - a mature and aware production process, optimized to reduce scraps and be as lean as possible.
    - a mature way to live the company (no paper waste, diversified harvest, etc).
    - a proper engineering and development of its products, functionally dimensioned without eccesses to reduce energy (air, electricity) consumption.
    - an adequate choice of products (and suppliers) to install on the machineries realized, at the state of the art also in terms of green economy.

  • Measurement of outcomes
  • Description of how the company monitors and evaluates environmental performance.

  • The measurement is given:
    - internally: by the simple consumption of resources and by the analysis of workers' behaviour.
    - on products: by the direct measurement (with proper instruments) of energy comsumption of the machineries.
    A more efficient production joined by more efficient machineries, beside an increasing education of workers involved, are the target for next year.

Anti-Corruption
  • Assessment, policy and goals
  • Description of the relevance of anti-corruption for the company (i.e. anti-corruption risk-assessment). Description of policies, public commitments and company goals on anti-corruption.

  • OTS Automazione does not accept any kind of corruption, internal or external to the company, coming from customers or suppliers.
    All the activities which require relationship with customers or suppiers have to be conducted in an absolutely transparent way, properly shared and in complet respect of law.

  • Implementation
  • Description of concrete actions to implement anti-corruption policies, address anti-corruption risks and respond to incidents.

  • The activity of OTS Automazione is controlled in two directions:
    - Suppliers: no relationship immoral, sustained by favours or money, is accepted. All relationships have to be clear and transparent and the management must have compelte visibility on purchase activity.
    - Customers: OTS Automazione does not accept to work by paying any function of any customer's organization chart. Already in the past, upfront direct or indirect requests, some customers have been pushed away.

  • Measurement of outcomes
  • Description of how the company monitors and evaluates anti-corruption performance.

  • All the management team is educated to a moral way to operate.
    All the activities are driven transparently and always shared between members of management.
