    To our stakeholders:

    I am pleased to confirm that Longitude 174 Limited reaffirms its support of the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact in the areas of Human Rights, Labour, Environment and Anti-Corruption.

    In this annual Communication on Progress, we describe our actions to continually improve the integration of the Global Compact and its principles into our business strategy, culture and daily operations. We also commit to share this information with our stakeholders using our primary channels of communication.

Human Rights
  • Assessment, policy and goals
  • Description of the relevance of human rights for the company (i.e. human rights risk-assessment). Description of policies, public commitments and company goals on Human Rights.

  • The main goals for this year are to:
    - Enroll a more diverse set of associates.
    - Ensure that we protect the privacy rights of our clients and associates through the introduction of new governance of data principles.

  • Implementation
  • Description of concrete actions to implement Human Rights policies, address Human Rights risks and respond to Human Rights violations.

  • We have already taken on a new associate who would not be able to work full time.

    We are contributing significantly to a new ISO international standard in the governance of data.

  • Measurement of outcomes
  • Description of how the company monitors and evaluates performance.

  • We review associate participation at the end of each financial year (end June).

    We review our data governance processes on a monthly basis.

Labour
  • Assessment, policy and goals
  • Description of the relevance of labour rights for the company (i.e. labour rights-related risks and opportunities). Description of written policies, public commitments and company goals on labour rights.

  • Our associates and suppliers are checked for adherence to Global Compact Labour principles. We socialise these principles with our clients.

  • Implementation
  • Description of concrete actions taken by the company to implement labour policies, address labour risks and respond to labour violations.

  • We raise awareness of labour rights and policies with associates and suppliers.

    All pay scales are independently reviewed by externals.

  • Measurement of outcomes
  • Description of how the company monitors and evaluates performance.

  • Since the last reporting period we have developed a short form contract to enable us to take on casual staff who would otherwise be unemployed.

Environment
  • Assessment, policy and goals
  • Description of the relevance of environmental protection for the company (i.e. environmental risks and opportunities). Description of policies, public commitments and company goals on environmental protection.

  • As a group of consultants, our environmental impact is low. However we strive to continue to replace face to face meetings with electronic meetings and to publish our output in electronic formats.

  • Implementation
  • Description of concrete actions to implement environmental policies, address environmental risks and respond to environmental incidents.

  • We are selecting tools with low environmental impact and we are recycling rather than disposing of electronic goods.

  • Measurement of outcomes
  • Description of how the company monitors and evaluates environmental performance.

  • In the last reporting period we have replaced printers with more environmentally devices and successfully recycled old cell phones.

Anti-Corruption
  • Assessment, policy and goals
  • Description of the relevance of anti-corruption for the company (i.e. anti-corruption risk-assessment). Description of policies, public commitments and company goals on anti-corruption.

  • Associates and suppliers are required to adhere to the Global Compact anti corruption principles.

  • Implementation
  • Description of concrete actions to implement anti-corruption policies, address anti-corruption risks and respond to incidents.

  • Associates report any incidents of corruption relating to Longitude engagements.

  • Measurement of outcomes
  • Description of how the company monitors and evaluates anti-corruption performance.

  • Associates are required to sign up to a strong professional ethical code of practice.
