    Dear Stakeholders,

    Natraj Moulds supports the ten principles of the Global Compact with respect to human rights, labor standards, protection of environment and anti-corruption. We are committed to advance those principles within our company.

    We are happy to confirm our continued support for the Global Compact and to renew our ongoing commitment to the initiative and its principles. Practical actions taken by us in the last year are summarized in our Communication on Progress. In this annual Communication on Progress, we describe our actions to continue to improve our integration with the Global Compact and its principles into our business strategy, culture and daily operations.

Human Rights
  • Assessment, policy and goals

  • ● Natraj Moulds actively supports the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. We have not carried out business with any countries or regions where flagrant human rights abuses are known e.g. torture, politically motivated disappearances, danger to security of our people etc. As every human being is entitled to enjoy their work without discrimination.
    ● Natraj Moulds is aimed at securing dignity and equality for all and ensures that all our employees are there by treated fairly and with respect.
    ● We work with our significant supply chain partners to see if they are signatories to the Global Compact and if they are not, we have actively encourage them to support and join the Compact as well.
    ● Our goal is to maintain the zero abuse record that we have maintained till now and will continue the same in future.

  • ● Natraj Moulds offers mediation to staff at work as a first stage resolution to any problems experienced in the workplace.
    Where there are changes within the organisation, exercises are done to ensure staff are involved in the process.
    ● Natraj Moulds pro-actively strives for human rights like Dignity at Work, Equal Opportunities to all as well as Flexible Working.
    ● We also invite employees for their suggestions for any improvement in accordance with human rights.
    ● We promote people based on the ‘Principles of Meritocracy’.
    ● Diversity is maintained and equal opportunities are given to all the workers in our organisation and also the avoidance of harm to human rights is considered.

  • In the past year, Natraj Moulds has not been subject to any investigations or incidents in which any rules are violated. We continuously monitor, evaluate and revise our performance with regards to Human Rights violations.

Labour

  • ● Natraj Moulds recognizes the importance to provide an organizational culture which is based on respect and trust. This benefits the Company in terms of productivity and growth.
    ● Natraj Moulds has created a greater sense of ownership within the organisation to its employees which helps employees to work with authority as well as with a sense of responsibility.
    ● Natraj Moulds will not do any businesses with any organisation that uses forced or child labor.
    ● Natraj Moulds aims to implement the ‘Whistle Blower Policy’.
    ● We shall be conducting a survey regarding employee satisfaction.

  • Natraj Moulds is committed to Labour principles in line with the UN Global Compact Principles. Specific procedures which are being followed are the internal grievance mechanisms (for employees) and an in house counseling procedure, if required by an employee.

    As our employees are our most important asset, we invest in our employees by providing on-the-job training and offering them opportunities to participate in training activities. The training is given with a primary objective of reducing Labour Risks during work. With proper training we are working towards ‘zero accident policy’. Because of the surveys to be conducted, we shall come to know about employees needs, wants and expectations which help us to bridge the gap between employees and organization.

  • ● Natraj Moulds has received no grievances or complaints from employees or others in relation to (potential) labor rights violations, nor was the organization involved in any labor rights incidences before or during the reporting period.
    ● Because of the scope of our activities and the limited number of employees, an external audit on labor rights performance is not required.
    ● Employee satisfaction needs can be taken care of by the surveys conducted.

Environment

  • Natraj Moulds is committed to reduce the negative impacts of our organizations’ actions on the environment. We strive to conserve all vulnerable sources like natural resources, reduce emissions of pollutants that can cause any environmental hazards and also encourage conditions of a safe working environment. The aim is to continuously improve the environmental performance of the organization. In order to promote a continuous improvement in environment, within the coming year the company will be working for waste reduction.

  • Natraj Moulds strives to give priority to use environment friendly material goods and office supplies whenever an environment friendly option is available. Examples of how Natraj Moulds reduces the negative environmental impacts: Waste is prevented through usage of scrapped one sided printed papers for office printing wherever possible, efficient use of resources through effective management practices and technological measures are being practiced. Continuous efforts are being made to ensure that all employees are environmentally aware and avoid wastage of any resources. Paper, water and energy are conserved through raising the awareness of the employees. Furthermore, the organization stimulates the use of public transport and/or bicycles. Natraj Moulds has business partners and suppliers which adhere to environmental principles. Auditors shall tain our in-house system and review as well as shall document the status of occupational safety and environmental protection at our plant.
    Initiative is taken to plant at least two trees per employee on ‘World Environment Day’. We have replaced many High Energy Consumption devices by Low Consumption ones (e.g. CRT by LED monitors). We are taking consolidated efforts to buy/ use more and more eco-friendly devices.

  • The environmental performance is measured during the internal monitoring efforts and audits. The results are communicated and when necessary awareness programs for employees are initiated.

Anti-Corruption

  • ● Natraj Moulds is based in India and faces a higher risks of corruption and bribery than in developed countries.
    ● In case staff is confronted to situations where corruption and bribery are likely to take place, they are provided guidance on how to react and report on this type of violation.
    ● We will be putting up suggestion boxes to keep anonymity.
    ● Natraj Moulds has not been involved in any legal cases, rulings or other events related to corruption and bribery.

  • Implementation

  • The selection of business partners and opportunities is done through the approval of our customers. It is based on transparency and fairness, as to encourage market competitiveness and avoid corruption. Each employee of Natraj Moulds is bestowed with the responsibility to respond in every situation with honesty and integrity and to follow high standards of moral and ethical behavior. Additionally, we have setup an automatic email system wherein any email correspondence which goes externally on behalf of the company gets automatically cc’ed to the senior management. Because of this automatic email system, the employees’ work and responsibilities can be tracked, allowing senior management to closely monitor projects and the way business is conducted with external parties. That serves as a basis to constantly track the employee's current work and help us to abide all the ethical rules.

  • As a result of the Company’s commitment, all employees are made aware of consequences related to corruption and bribery violations. Senior management ensures that junior and mid level employees are not put in situations where they can proved guilty or victim of such violations. On a case to case basis, the Company’s protocol provides guidance on how to react and report such type of violation, in case of any staff is confronted to situations where corruption and bribery are likely to take place. There by, via proper guidance and counselling we are in a situation to avoid any unethical behaviour which disobeys our organization culture or protocol.
