    Asia Green Development Bank Limited (AGDBank) is proud to be a supporter and participant of the United Nations Global Compact. I am pleased to confirm that AGDBank reaffirms its support of the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact in the areas of Human Rights, Labor, Environment and Anti-Corruption.

    In this annual Communication on Progress, we describe our actions to continually improve the integration of the Global Compact and its principles into our business strategy, culture and daily operations. We also commit to share this information with our stakeholders using our primary channels of communication and to participate in annual contribution to the foundation for the Global Compact.

Human Rights
  • Assessment, policy and goals

  • AGDBank abide by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights which we support and respect the protection of internationally proclaimed human rights and ensure that there are not complicit in human rights abuses at work place.

  • We strictly follow the Ten Principles of the Global Compact and our human resources department has policies and procedures to follow by all employees.

Labour
  • Assessment, policy and goals
  • Description of the relevance of labour rights for the company (i.e. labour rights-related risks and opportunities). Description of written policies, public commitments and company goals on labour rights.

  • AGDBank provides equal employment opportunities and we have different race, ethnic origin, gender, religion, color, age, marital, disabilities at our bank. We are also responsible for creating an atmosphere free of discrimination and harassment. We are a member of labor union and all staff are registered with it and they are entitle of all the rights and benefit describe by labor union.

  • We are responsible for respecting the rights of co-workers and handbook to follow labor policies and procedures at work place.

  • Proper employee documentation for all staff is done by human resources department and our HR department enforce all staff follow policies and procedures to meet the target and we met this target.

Environment

  • AGDBank as a bank our enviormental impact is small. However, we support our sister company foundation and we donate to teak wood plantation projects, flooded area and donate water to dry zone and strive to reduce use of paper and printing at the bank.

  • In additional to our donation to teak wood plantation projects, flooded area and donate water to dry zone, we try to reduce use of paper and energy by all lights out after office hour.

Anti-Corruption

  • AGDBank believes in and supports of the Global Compact Anti-Corruption principle. We have a compliance department which do assessment on anti-corruption under operation of the bank and moreover we have policies to follow by management against corruption.

  • AGDBank employees must strictly adhere to set of rules detailed in our anti corruption policies.
