    Al Ajmi Engineering Consultants reconfirms our commitment towards the UN’s Global Compact initiative and its continued pledge to embrace and performance on the UN’s Global Compact “10 Principles” in the areas of Human Rights, Labour, Environment and Anti-Corruption.

    In this annual Communication on Progress for year 2021 to 2022, we elaborate on how we incorporated the Global Compact’s principles, that we said we would meet in the last COP submitted, into our policies, philosophy and daily operations of our organization.

    We commit to continually share this information with all our shareholders through any means of communication required.

Human Rights
  • Assessment, policy and goals
  • Description of the relevance of human rights for the company (i.e. human rights risk-assessment). Description of policies, public commitments and company goals on Human Rights.

  • Al Ajmi Engineering Consultants (AEC) has maintained the standard achievement of United Nation's Declaration of Human Rights and strictly performed the same in our organization at all levels.

  • Implementation
  • Description of concrete actions to implement Human Rights policies, address Human Rights risks and respond to Human Rights violations.

  • As proof of our commitment in applying the Human Rights policies as expressed in the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights, we applied a policy dedicated for Human Rights and have accordingly upheld and acted upon.

  • Measurement of outcomes

  • We keep modifying our strict program of monitoring which is part of our ISO Certification of the organization to ensure that certain human rights policies are being followed. Any defilement of such case would be exposed at the level once undertaken.

Labour

  • All employees and staff of AEC have given the rights without prejudice, regardless of ones’ background.

  • Implementation

  • As soon as a person is employed with AEC they are right away given with proper labour rights. Such measures have been added in the section dealing with labour rights in our policies and standards and remain upheld and in effect in our organization till date.

  • With the ISO strict compliance such violation to its procedure shall be exposed easily.
    Any breach of any rights and policies would be dealt immediately following investigating the incident.

Environment

  • A section dedicated towards the environmental protection is implemented in our policies and the same standards remains upheld.

  • Employees are always encouraged to conduct their correspondences as much as possible electronically, and accordingly clients and companies we deal with are encouraged to do the same.

  • Measurement of outcomes

  • Going paperless is the main goal of the organization, and accordingly by checking relevance of printing. A printing quota and monitoring is set in place at all levels.

Anti-Corruption

  • We strive to control corruption at all times especially in the organization. Hence, the positive feedback and reputation we get in the market is the thing that separates us from our competition.

  • We dedicated a section that deals with anti-corruption that is implemented in our company to deal with bribery, perjury and all other forms of corruption possible in our industry.

  • A regular auditing across all levels of the company by random checking as well as a yearly external audit ensures all our actions comply with the policies set forth by our company. Our track record proves our commitment by having a clean history of dealings.
