    To our stakeholders:

    I am pleased to confirm that Drukarnia Interak sp. z o. o. reaffirms its support of the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact in the areas of Human Rights, Labour, Environment and Anti-Corruption.

    In this annual Communication on Progress, we describe our actions to continually improve the integration of the Global Compact and its principles into our business strategy, culture and daily operations. We also commit to share this information with our stakeholders using our primary channels of communication.

Human Rights
  • Assessment, policy and goals
  • Description of the relevance of human rights for the company (i.e. human rights risk-assessment). Description of policies, public commitments and company goals on Human Rights.

  • We would like to proudly stated that one of our main gaol is to fallow all human rights regulated by Polish and EU laws. In order to be in line with UN Guiding Principles on Business of Human Rights, we base our approach on the International Bills of Human Rights and the principles established by International Labour Organization’s Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work. In order to increase commitment and awareness within our organization throughout supply chain we introduce ECU code of conduct into our management systems and we validated that by regular SMETA external audtis.

    - Trainings on the all levels of organization structure for new employed but also experienced stuff members
    - We allocated responsibilities for the protection of Human Rights and put a Human Rights/Labour Inspector in the business

  • In order to evaluated our performance we are conducting SMETA external audits and internal Human Rights audit by nominated inspector. Any incidents that violate human rights would be investigate by the supervision of our HR department and analysed as part of our non-conformity management system (including corrective and preventive action implementation)

Labour
  • Assessment, policy and goals
  • Description of the relevance of labour rights for the company (i.e. labour rights-related risks and opportunities). Description of written policies, public commitments and company goals on labour rights.

  • In order to fallow aspiration of providing products of outstanding quality we are equally determined to improving the lives of our employees. There cannot be any success without people which support the organization on every detailed steps in all realized processes. To achieve that goals we focus on seven main pillars:
    - Wage and Hour Practices- fallow rules of national wage and hour laws, including minimum wage, overtime and maximum hour requirements
    - Freedom of Association and Collective Bargaining- we fully support our employee’s right to choose to join or not to join a trade union, or to have recognized employee representation in accordance with local law. Whether the representative of legal trade union or employees representative would be appointed we will put all the best affords in order to established constructive dialog and put best interests of the employees and business.
    - Employee Privacy- Drukarnia Interak is dedicated to fallow all RODO regulation and to properly manage and use the personally-identifiable information that our employees, as well as prospective and former employees, entrust to us. In addition, we take steps to properly secure such data at all times. We also inform individuals about the personally-identifiable information that is being collected about them and how it will be used.
    - Child Labour and Forced Labour- We do not use child or forced labour in any of our global facilities. None of us should tolerate any form of unacceptable treatment of workers in our operations or facilities, we do not permit exploitation of children, physical punishment or abuse, or involuntary servitude. We fully respect all applicable laws establishing a minimum age for employment in order to support the effective abolition of child labour worldwide. Workers under the age of 18 shall not perform hazardous work.
    - Non-Discrimination- Discrimination itself or any sign of such a behaviour is not tolerated within our organization and it is forbidden under strict regulation of contract termination. We do not discriminate against individuals on the basis of race, colour, gender, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, marital status, citizenship, disability, veteran status, HIV/AIDS status or any other legally protected factor.
    - Preventing Harassment- Harassment itself or any sign of such a behaviour is not tolerated within our organization and it is forbidden under strict regulation of contract termination. We do not accept attitudes that creates an offensive, intimidating, humiliating, or hostile work environment. Any behaviour like it physical or verbal, done in person or by other means (such as harassing notes or emails), unwelcome sexual advances or remarks, offensive jokes, and disparaging comments will not be tolerated.
    - Health, Safety and Workplace Security- There has been Health&Safety Manager position establish within the organization in order to provide a safe, healthful and productive work environment. Company to follow all Company safety and security procedures, as well as applicable laws and regulations. In order to increase safety we established cooperation with external security company maintaining supervision over our sides.

  • DRUKARNIA INTERAK conducts activity based on the principle of sustainable development policy, which assumes conscious and appropriately shaped relations between economic growth, care for the natural environment and human health.
    Being fully aware of the impact of our activity on the natural environment, we undertake environment-friendly actions through continuous improvement of production processes aimed at preventing negative effects on the environment.
    Taking into account the Social Welfare, we aim to systematically deepen our ecological knowledge and take all the actions thanks to which the Interak Printing House will be perceived as an organization actively operating in the field of environmental protection.

    In order to achieve this, all persons operating within the Interak organization are involved in the implementation of environmental policy. All our activities are subject to the process of continuous improvement, with particular emphasis on quality and environment. The needs of customers and other relevant stakeholders are a priority of our activities.

    I. The printing house implements the adopted environmental policy through the following strategic objectives:
    1) Rational management of industrial waste:
    Applying the hierarchy of ways of handling waste in the following order: (prevention, reuse, recycling, recovery, disposal).
    Segregation and safe storage.
    2. air protection - limiting the amount of emitted pollutants to the atmosphere:
    Use of chemical agents with a limited amount of volatile organic compounds, so called VOCs.
    3. water protection - reducing the amount of industrial waste water discharged into the environment:
    Use of closed sewage circuit.
    4. protection of natural resources, climate protection - optimizing the use of raw materials and chemicals intended for production.
    Continuous efforts to reduce paper, energy and water consumption.
    5. monitoring of processes, machines and equipment in order to eliminate the risk of environmental accidents.

    II. We implement the company's environmental policy in particular through:
    Using in production processes raw materials and technologies proven in terms of safety for people and environment.
    Activities aimed at protecting natural resources by reducing the consumption of paper, electricity and fuels.
    improvement of technological processes, investments and modernization of equipment aimed at reducing the harmful impact on the environment.
    We continuously improve the implemented Quality and Environmental Management Systems 9001 and 14001.
    Tracking progress in science and technology, using their Best Available Techniques "BAT".
    Meeting additional customer requirements for environmental protection.
    In areas where it is possible to set even higher requirements.
    The Management Board transfers the formation of environmental awareness to every level of the organizational structure.
    Involving our suppliers and business partners in environmental activities.
    Introducing solutions by the managers of production departments, consistent with the assumptions of the Environmental Policy.

    We undertake to comply with legal requirements and other environmental regulations applicable to our business activity.

    We undertake to continuously improve the effectiveness of our actions to reduce and prevent environmental pollution.

    We declare the introduction/application by department managers of solutions consistent with the assumptions of the Environmental Policy.

    The aim of the adopted Environmental Policy is to maintain the natural balance and its sustainability to meet the needs of modern society and future generations.

    The above policy is known to all employees of the company and is made available at the express request of interested persons

  • We introduce below actions in order to implement our policy statement through the company:
    - Trainings for the all employees on all levels of organization structure for new employed but also experienced stuff
    - We reduce the VOC level released via production area
    - 100% of electric energy we are buying is generated by renewable energy sources
    - We introduced ISO 14001:2015 management system within our organization (certificated)
    - We introduced Eco Label Swan requirements as a part of our management systems (certificated)
    - There has been a dedicated personnel set for maintain and supervised environmental aspects (Envirmental specialist and quality environmental specialist)
    - Safety audit including (Health&safety and environmental aspects) are conducted on weekly bases.

  • All the environmental aspects recognized during company validation are monitored and summarized during yearly management system reviews.
    Any non-conformance related to environmental aspects is handled according to non-conformance procedure including root cause analysis and corrective and preventive action implementation.
    ISO 14001:2015 management system and Eco Label Swan is validated base on external on side audits on yearly bases.
    Our biggest achievement this year related to environmental aspects was transition to electricity generated by renewable energy sources which highly reduced our carbon foot print.

Anti-Corruption

  • Our business relations are strictly comply with all applicable anti-corruption laws and regulations.
    Our main expectation would be that our associates, business partners and suppliers must never try to gain or retain business by offering an improper personal benefit under any circumstances. We will neither engage in, nor tolerate any form of corruption, bribery, theft, embezzlement, extortion, or the use of illegal payments.
    All mentioned above may not participate directly or indirectly in bribery or corruption in the conduct with Drukarnia Interak. Therefore it is expected from Drukarnia Interak stuff members to fallow below rules:

    • Refrain from offering anything of value, including payments or favours, to obtain or retain business, secure any improper advantage or to influence the recipient to act contrary to his/her duties.

    • Refuse requests for improper payments.

    • Promptly report any suspected improper payments to an appropriate supervisor or member of the Drukarnia Interak sp. z o. o. Board Members.

  • All corruption and bribery cases are under direct supervision of a Board Member and are regulated by non-conformance corruption process management.
    Once per year appointed by CEO crew member will conducted anti-corruption audit.
