Responsible Management Education (PRME), the first global guiding
framework for academic institutions to advance the broader cause
of corporate social responsibility, will be launched at the 2007
Global Compact Leaders Summit. The PRME have been developed by an
international task force of sixty deans, university presidents
and official representatives of leading business schools.

The Business Leadership Platform is a practical approach for
Global Compact participants that wish to advance solutions to the
climate challenge. It also represents an opportunity to
demonstrate climate leadership on both the individual and
collective levels. The statement, to be launched at the Leaders
Summit, is a joint effort of business and civil society
representatives convened by the Global Compact, the UN Environment
Programme (UNEP) and the World Business Council for Sustainable
Development (WBCSD).

the role of Governments in promoting responsible corporate
citizenship. This briefing follows a Ministerial Roundtable that
will take place earlier that morning from 8:00 am to 10:00 am on
how governments can use their soft power to encourage socially and
environmentally responsible business practices and the connection
between policies that promote corporate citizenship and
responsible competitiveness.
