Case Description

The case study decribes Novartis' approach to implement a voluntary initiative to pay all employees in over 60 countries living wages (distinctive from minimum wages). Because it doesn't exist an universally accepted model for implementing the living wage commitment, Novartis commissioned the non-profit business association Business for Social Responsibility to establish a methodology to calculate living wage levels.
