New Functionalities Improve Access to Communications on Progress
(New York, 30 April 2008)
- Internet users visiting the Global Compact website now can
choose from a range of new search options that offer improved access to the Global Compact's
repository of thousands of Communications on Progress (COP) submitted by participating companies.
The
new and revised COP
search interface
allows users to search corporate reports in 17 languages or by geographic
region. A search by industry sector is also available. Additional search criteria include
third-party verification or reports created using the indicators of the Global Reporting
Initiative (GRI).
"The Communication on Progress is an important measure of a company's commitment to the
Global Compact principles", said Georg Kell, Executive Director of the Global Compact Office. "We
hope that stakeholders everywhere will find these new search options useful when accessing the vast
amounts of information on social and environmental performance stored in our global database".
