Business Associations

The Global Compact network includes a number of important business associations representing leading companies from around the world. These associations are well known for their thought-leadership and private-sector expertise on critical issues related to sustainable development and corporate citizenship.

Business associations engaging in the Global Compact undertake a number of activities:

  • Attract new participants through outreach and awareness raising
  • Organize learning events, workshops and training for their participants on the topic of corporate citizenship in general and the Global Compact in specific
  • Mobilize collective action efforts on different issues
  • Motivate their participants to
  • Function as a platform for sharing of experiences and ideas
  • Host the secretariat for Global Compact Local Networks

To become a participant in the Global Compact:

  1. Download and complete the Letter of Commitment.
  2. Complete the online Organization Information Form and upload your Letter of Commitment.
A paper version is available, though we encourage you to submit your letter online.
